I was sitting at the Cavern with my best friend Amy waiting for the Quarrymen to preform.
"Rose, just go talk to him! I'm sure he will love you!"
For the past 10 months I have been crushing on one of the band members John Lennon.
I loved everything about him. His almond shaped hazel eyes. His long thin nose and his beautiful voice.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a guitar and I turned to the stage to see John standing there smiling and looking down to the crowd. I could see his eyes scanning over the crowd until his eyes met mine. I could feel my stomach form knots and my face turn bright red. And apparently Amy noticed.
"Rose! He is looking at you! He is checking you out!"
I looked up once again only to meet his memorizing eyes once again. He gave me a quick wink and focused back in on the crowd.
I watched every move John made and never took my eyes off of him. Could someone be anymore perfect?
Before I knew it the show was over and everyone was flooding out. Amy and I always stayed behind for drinks.
"John was definitely looking at you! I think he has a crush in you!" Amy gave me a slight nudge.
"Amy he could never. I'm probably the most basic person in the world he would never like me! Who would?"
"Well I do like ya."
I turned around to see none other than John sitting right next to me. My heart started to race and my face turned bright red.
As I turned around for assistance from Amy I saw she was occupied with Paul McCartney. Great.
"So uh my names John Lennon." He held out his hand.
"Oh uh I'm Rose Starkey"
"Well Rose I think you saw me staring at you from the stage but uh I think you are really beautiful."
"Thank you!"
We sat there in awkward silence until I finally decided to go back home.
"Well John I have to head out but it was lovely to talk to you."
As i got up and left he chased after me and grabbed my arm.
"Mind if I walk you home?"
"Not at all."
He pulled me close to his body and I looked up at him and he looked down at me. His smell of cigarettes and cologne surrounded me. We walked out of the Cavern and made our way down the road. Street light lighting our way.
