THE VAMPIRES

"What do you want?" Azzim asked. He wanted to do was to slam the door on the vampire's face, but he couldn't do it. It was as though there was a force preventing him from doing so. It must've had been one of the vampire's abilities that Ginger told him before.

"Let me in," Avery demanded. His eyes were electric blue were glimmering and two fangs slowly came out from his teeth.

Azzim felt some kind of sensation ran through his body. But he was still in control with his own mind. He fought the persuasion; the order. He was not going to let this vampire enter his house.

"No!" He said. The sensation abruptly stopped, but he still couldn't shut the door.

Avery looked at him in amazement, and Azzim was sure that the vampire was not going to give up so easily.

"You fought me! I guess I've made the right decision for choosing you! So strong, hard headed, not letting anyone to control you."

"I know who you are!"

"Good! Then I don't have to explain myself to you! Ginger did a good job describing me, didn't she? Isn't she a sweetheart?"

"What do you want from me? She told me that you marked me!"

"Why asked when you already know the answer?"

"Are you going to kill me?"

"I could've done it two days ago. I could've done it earlier. Last night, or tonight before you could even manage to walk inside!"

"So you're going to turn me into a vampire like you?"

"You want to?"

"What made you think that I want to be a vampire like you? I've seen your past in my dream, Putra!"

"Don't call me with that name!"

"Why? Are you embarrassed to be called with your old name Putra~"

"DON'T CALL ME WITH THAT NAME!"

Although he knew that the vampire couldn't enter his house, he was still terrified. Azzim could no longer stand on his feet and fell on his knees.

"I come in peace," Avery lowered his voice this time. Slowly his blue eyes turned to light brown and his fangs shrunk back to his teeth. Ths scary face was gone and now he looked more like human.

"I mean no harm," he continued. "If you could just let me in, I promise I won't hurt you."

"Why should I trust you?"

"I told you, if I wanted to kill you I could've done it earlier. But I didn't."

"Look, I know that you like to play with your food before you eat it. And I'm not interested to be like you."

"She really gets into you, right? What else did she say? Did she mention anything on how to kill me?"

"Wishful thinking, I might ask her the next time we meet!"

"Look, I know you're scared but I'm not going to hurt you. If you could just let me in and explain to you."

"Go! I don't want to listen anything from you," Azzim said firmly. He wasn't going to fall in Avery's trap no matter how subtle his looks or his tone this time.
