It was a rainy night. Scarlet was marking a woman who was carrying a baby girl in her arms. The baby girl was six months old. Her mother was rushing to the car as the rain was getting heavier. Scarlet was following the woman from behind. She didn't notice the presence of the red-haired vampire.
Lady Batra had already marked a man a victim for herself tonight. But she sensed the thoughts of her sister and it intrigued her. Scarlet had just killed someone and that was not right. She rushed to the whereabouts of Scarlet but she was too late.
Scarlet already killed the woman in a car. There was a baby girls who was now crying in the arms of her dead mother.
"Scarlet, how could you? We've promised that we will not kill!"Lady Batra hissed angrily.
"I've got carried away, I'm afraid," Scarlet said. Her chin was now drenched with fresh red blood.
"How many times should I tell you about the rule, Scarlet? You could've feed on mortals without taking their lives!"
Lady Batra grabbed the baby from the lifeless mother. She knew that Scarlet was going to kill her next. Scarlet snarled.
"She's mine, I marked her too!"
"We do not mark infants, Scarlet." Lady Batra said firmly.
"Her mother's already dead. She can't live without her mother!"
"I made myself clear and you better go away. I'm not going to repeat twice!"
Scarlet narrowed her eyes to her mentor. They had the same violet eyes, but Lady Batra's were lighter and brighter; and flashed warningly to Scarlet. She turned to the baby who was still crying in Lady Batra's arms. Scarlet had some strange feeling towards the innocent soul. There was something about that child that she couldn't explain. It was as though she was an enemy to her.
"I marked you," Scarlet said to the baby who was still crying in her mentor's arms.
"You touch her and I'll make sure I'll kill you!" Lady Batra warned her.
Scarlet turned to Lady Batra and looked directly into her eyes for one more time. She knew Lady Batra meant all the words she said. She disappeared after a few second hunting some more humans.
The baby was still crying in Lady Batra's arms. This wasn't the first time she was holding a mortal child but the innocent soul touched her heart. The baby didn't understand anything. She just lost her mother to a hungry vampire.Lady Batra couldn't help to feel sorry her.
She put the baby back to the arms of her dead mother. She waited on the top of a building nearby. It was nearly an hour before someone noticed there was a dead woman with a crying baby in a car.
When people started to gather around the car, Lady Batra disappeared. This was the first murder Scarlet did. She had just started terrorizing the city and chaos would be happening soon.
The first thing that she did to Scarlet when she came back to the house was strangling her neck. It was nearly sunrise. Carritha and Lady Erme were shocked by the behavior of their elder sister.
Lady Batra's grip on her neck was so tight to the point she couldn't breathe. She was suffocating Scarlet. Carittha and Lady Erme kept their mouth shut as they watched. They didn't stop Lady Batra.
"Maybe this will remind you about what I've said before, Scarlet! I don't like repeating myself for over and over again!" Lady Batra said angrily.
The first ray of light came through the room. Lady Erme darted to the window, wanting to shut it with the curtain. The light would kill Carritha and Scarlet.
