NEWBORN NIGHT WALKERS

It was really hard to describe his relationship with Avery. They both were so close with each other now. How could they not, they were always together. They slept at daytime on the same bed. Whenever Azzim went to work, Avery went out for blood. By 5:00 in the morning, Avery would fetch him from Hard Candy. He even helped Azzim doing the laundry and did the groceries.

He was never this close with another guy (although Avery was not really a typical kind of guy!). He was so attached and so depended on Avery so much. He felt safe whenever Avery was around. He was not ashamed to admit it. It was really weird that he couldn't even sleep if Avery wasn't around. It was probably because Avery's vampire calming scent. And whenever Avery was next to him, he would always be cuddled like a baby.

He loved Avery so much and he didn't mind to be kissed on the forehead before he went to bed. Azzim never questioned why Avery did that. But he knew that Avery cared for him as much as he did.

Sometimes Azzim wondered if he was gay. He wasn't and he was pretty sure that Avery wasn't gay too! Maybe this was people called 'bromance'. Yes, he loved Avery, but not in sexual way. It was more platonic, so how possibly could it be a gay thing? Still, it was really difficult to explain.

He wanted to bring it this issue to Avery, but he didn't want the vampire feel uncomfortable and awkward with it. He didn't want Avery keep a distant from him. But then again, Avery could had had probably read his mind and knew about but Azzim was not going to ask him about it. It was going to make him look stupid by doing so. But what was the reason that Azzim felt so attached to him?

Azzim thought his life was no longer normal. It was as though he had become a vampire too. He hardly went out in the sun thesed days he was getting as pale as Avery. There was no daylight activity for him anymore since he met the vampire. He lived under the shadow.

No one knew about Avery. Azzim never mentioned him to anyone although Avery never asked him to do so. So the only person who knew about it was Ginger. She was the only one.

Azzim didn't know how long Avery was planning to stay with him. He never asked Avery and he had no intention of doing so. Clearly, Avery had changed the way Azzim thought about vampires (the thing that he thought existed in movies and books!).

But if he was the reason why Avery became more human than before, then it shouldn't have had been something to complain. After all, Avery was once human too, right? Maybe this was the only thing that he could do to make up his past. If only Avery could've done something like this to Ginger too.

Azzim was sure that there were more issues between Ginger and Avery. But it was never clear. Avery refused to answer some of his questions and Azzim knew that he was wasting his time if Avery didn't want to.

It was Azzim's off tonight. He was watching some action packed DVD on the couch. Avery's gone out hunting for blood. He would usually come home before 3:00 in the morning. But Avery was kind of late tonight. It was nearly 5:00 and Azzim waited until he fell asleep.

He didn't know how long he had been sleeping. But the next thing he knew when he opened his eyes, Avery was next to him, sniffing Azzim's forehead.

"You're home." Azzim said, rubbing his eyes.

"Have you taken your dinner, yet?"

"Yeah, I did. What took you so long?" Azzim rest his head on Avery's shoulder, the thing that he always did whenever Avery was this close.
