"What is your name?" RainbowDash asked again.

I- I don't know anymore... Mother has banished me so Sunrise won't work anymore.... I need a different name...

I thought deeply of a new, better name for myself.

Something important will have to happen before I find it.

"I- I don't have a name anymore." I spoke almost roboticly

I decided to hide behind The Stranger. Hoping to make myself invisible.

The Stranger lowered his head to whisper in my ear.

"Could you look around for awhile? I need to speak to RainbowDash."

I felt tears threaten to fall. I bit my tongue and nodded.

STUPID! TO THINK HE WOULD WANT TO KEEP YOU! WHEN THIS BEAUTIFUL PONY STANDS NEXT TO YOU! STUPID, FOOLISH, DAFT AND NAIVE LITTLE PONY!

"Thank you." The Stranger replied.

Yeah, whatever....

I glanced behind me. The Stranger was watching, making sure I was put of sight. I looked back at the road. Not caring at all where I end up.

The Stranger's POV:

I watched the princess walk off into the market. I felt bad for that. But I needed to speak with RainbowDash. It was important. I looked into RainbowDash's eyes grabbing her attention.

"There is a name, face and voice you MUST remember."

She nodded. I placed my head lightly on hers closing my eyes I calmed my breathing I brought forth certain memories The Great Elder had given me for this purpose.

Some where from the past and some where for the future.

I showed RainbowDash what the princess had looked like before the "Accident." Then I brought two songs from the future that could not be forgotten unless forcefully removed.

One was sung softly yet strong and full of longing. The other was loud and strong filled with hurt and anger.

I felt RainbowDash's struggle to not pull away. When the songs where finished I started breathing normally. I moved away from RainbowDash. Seeing if she understood the importance of what I showed her. Her eyes where wide she was breathing quickly, almost hyperventilating.
"Deep breaths."

She slowed her breathing. She looked up.

"Who was the pony you showed me?"

"That was Sunrise."

Her eyes widened even more.

"The Sunrise?"

I nodded.

"Who's song did you show me?"

"The firs was Sunrise. The second was hers." I looked pointedly where the princess had gone.

RainbowDash sorted her thoughts.

"RainbowDash, listen carefully."

I thought of how I could say this quickly.

"These memories will fade away soon-"

"WHAT? But I just got them!"

"I know, but you will regain them when I come back for you. We will be here. But I will have another pony with me. She is the same age as you and her cousin. But when you see us, it will be several years later."

I saw he memories start to fade. I needed to hurry.

"At first you will think these memories will just be dreams. But I promise you will get them back. Please stay true to your promises. And follow your heart. I must warn you she will be nothing like she is now. You will start to recognize her by her songs. Then by the memories. Please I beg of you, stay loyal to your friends and heart."

I was almost out of time! I looked around for the princess, I didn't see her.

I gazed back towards RainbowDash. Determination on her face struggling to keep the memories with her.

"Will you promise to he her friend No matter what happens? And help her reach her destiny?"

RainbowDash nodded. Then realized that was not good enough. She touched her nose to mine. I felt her magic. It was strong.

"I promise to stay loyal to my friends, promises and my heart no matter what happens. Even if it kills us."

I felt the promise seal. There was no going back. Though I wish she hadn't added the last part, she had no idea what was going to happen.

I saw the memories of the princess and I fade completely. Thankfully she had made her promise.

I saw a look of shock then confusion cross her face. She was probably wondering who this strange person in front of he was.

"Thank you for your time my lady. I must be going now." I turned and ran to where I had seen the princess last, leaving RainbowDash to her thoughts.
