Avery: not you I consider you as a girl, you're alright

-anyways what happened?

Avery: Jax is with another girl

Shawn: how do you know?

Avery: my friend told me, she is at the same party too

-im sorry

Avery: i would say its ok but it really isnt

-want me to beat him up?

Avery: as much as I would like that, no

Shawn: i'll be over in five Xx

Shawns POV

I literally ran all the way to Avery's house and seven minutes later i was knocking at her door, i heard footsteps coming to the door

"Hello?" Avery's mom answered

"Hello ma'am, im sorry to bother, im here to see your daughter Avery?" I politely smiled

"Ah yes you must be Shawn! Avery has talked about you before!" She moved aside opening the door completely letting me in, "She is upstairs in her bedroom"

"Thank you ma'am" I started to head up the stairs when Avery's mom stopped me

"I dont know you very well but i hope you guys dont do anything inappropriate up there. You seem like a nice man, can I trust you?" She asked with a serious tone

"I would never do anything like that, Avery is my best friend" Her mom smiled and she motioned me to go, i ran up the stairs, as i got to the front of the door i knocked and ran my fingers through my hair as i waited for her to open up.

I looked down at my wardrobe, i was wearing sweats, a black tshirt and a hoodie. I hear the door open and a red nosed Avery appears in sweats, a pink tshirt and her hair up in a bun.

"Hi Shawn" Avery sniffled, letting me in her room, "Im sorry for the mess, i had no time to-" I hugged her, not letting her finish. I rested my head while her head was right below my chin she started to shake and sob softly

"It's alright Ave, everything will be okay." i started to sway her from side to side slowly

"I liked him a lot Shawn, i guess it just hurts that this is my first boyfriend and my first heartbreak." She sniffles again, "He was older, I should've known.."

"Don't blame yourself, it wasn't your fault. You didn't know he was a douche. You are better off without him Avery, one day you will meet someone you love, and he will love you back" I look down at her and smile as i caress her cheeks she lets out a shaky breath, we are still swaying from side to side in silence as i wipe away her tears

I lean down and she closes her eyes. My lips rest on her forehead and i leave my lips to linger there for a while, then I hug her once more,

"You know i love you right?" I whisper in her ear, she simply nods. "Lets get you to bed." I grab her hand and lead her to her bed

"Is it okay if I sleep here?" I shyly ask her

"Of course you can, Im gonna go wash my teeth and my face, mi casa es tu casa."

I take my sweater off and place it on her chair, beside my shoes, I climbed on her bed and lay down next to wall. I pull up the covers to my chest already feeling warm and sleepy.

Minutes later i feel Avery crawl under the covers beside me, once she settled I scooted over to her and grabbed her by the waist, bringing her closer to me.

"Look at that, we fit!" I whispered, all i could hear was a quiet giggle before i fell asleep, my bestfriend in my arms.
