"Ouranos, we have a problem!" Elune, goddess of the Night Elves, told the Grand Truncate Master.
"Don't tell me, it's the Lolth-Corellon feud again," the Sky Titan replied, "They've been at it since the Truncation of the Pantheons. Which civilisation is better? Even the other members of the group are either concerned or irritated with it."
Just then, Janus, the Two-Headed Deity, appeared before the two. "Hate to eavesdrop on the conversation, but it seems that both civilizations have agreed not to meddle in each other's affairs," The left head of Janus said. "It's quite well for both sides, since they are constantly at war with each other," the right head added.
Ouranos then asked, "And your point is?" "Lolth wants to see action," Elune replied, "and Corellon Larethian needs a break from it." The Sky Titan heaved a sigh, and then said, "My grandson almost never went reporting cases like this to me. He knows how to handle cases like this."
At those words, Zeus, Athene, and Arachne went in the hall in which the other deities were conversing. "The elven deities again, Grandfather? I thought so," the lightning god said as he saw his grandfather's face. "We think we sisters may have a solution," Athene and Arachne added, "We prefer to whisper it so we need your ears."
...
"Unite all the elves as one through a forced marriage?" Ouranos said. "The first half, I agree. The second half, uhmmm, I don't think I can agree with your proposal. I've seen many forced marriages throughout history, and most couples are not happy with being with each other." "That's why we need the help of all the deities of love and beauty,"Athena replied. "And we need an interspecies couple," Arachne added, "say elf and drider."
"Drider? The half humanoid half spider hybrids that have a form like you, great granddaughter? I thought they were Lolth's accursed!" The Sky Titan interjected. "They're actually Lolth's blessed now," Elune replied.
"Oh," Ouranos replied."Besides we'll make sure that these two will have a life they will never forget, aside from them being demigods of course," Athena said.
"Okay," Ouranos finally said, "I don't know what you are planning, but make sure you know that you are responsible for this."
Thus ended the conversation among the deities. The two goddesses negotiated with Lolth and Corellon themselves, and after several tensions, both deities reluctantly accepted.
Thus begins the adventures of Concorde the elf and Illoaide the Drider.
