The car pulled was already in the driveway waiting for us. The chauffeur opened the door for me. My father sat across from me and I tried hard not to stare at his deformed face. EH wanted to torment me and break my spirit or something like that.
"So Karai, tell me what you've been doing all this time?" he asked."I don't see how that's your business! Besides I have more important things to do know that I enrolled myself in high school" I snapped back.
"You're a school girl now? Have you made any friends?" he antagonized.
"No, I prefer to stay on my own. After all... you did 'raise' me to never trust anyone, sometimes even you" I lied smoothly.
He finally kept his mouth shut the rest of the way to my new 'home'. Once arriving, I trudged up the two flights of stairs and came to the front door. Entering the massive building, it looked like a run-down funeral home. It was all gray and black to where you could barely see anything. I waved my hand in front of my face and could only see movement.
"What kind of place is this? Don't think it's a little old and run down to live in?" I complained.
