After school ended, I went back to my place, changed and went on my own for a bit. I needed to stop all this and Leo go because he moved on. It was time I did to. I was 'happily' minding my own business on the top of a fairly large building when I was attacked. But with almost sixteen years of endless training they never laid a finger on me. Stopping for a second, I noticed that these weren't muggers, they were other ninjas. All of them were guys. I couldn't see their faces since they wore masks. Within minutes, I beat them all and tied them up.
"I'm sorry boys but you know the drill... or should know the drill. I'm going to remove your masks and ask you questions" I said walking up to their leader.
They struggled to get away from me but I had major advantage. Once I removed their mask I jumped about ten feet backwards.
"Leo?!" I exclaimed.
We all sat there while I paced back and forth on what my next move was.
"Can you untie us?" Leo asked.
"Why should I? You aren't my friends anymore!" I snapped.
"But your fight is with me. They had nothing to do with it" he begged.
"What? They are the ones who told Splinter and jeopardized or friendship" I corrected.
"That's true but we can work this out. Right?" he suggested.
"Help yourselves. I've got a vendetta to get rid of" I said and turned to walk away.
"Karai wait!" Leo yelled.
I stopped but didn't turn around.
"I'm sorry we can't be friends but-" he stopped mid sentence.
"But what?" I asked.
"Will you be more than my friend?" he asked.
I looked at him with wide eyes and an open mouth.
"I don't care anymore what my father or brothers say. I like you Karai and I want you to be my girlfriend" he explained truthfully.
I was speechless. So instead of say anything, I walked up to him and leaned into his face.
"I like you to Leo. But I can't" I said sadly.
"Can't or won't? There's a difference" he said again.
"I just can't" I said untying him and running off.
