It was already two thirty the next day and I was waiting for Leo like he asked me to. I'll admit I was nervous. Not because of going to his home but I had a feeling I was being followed. I was snapped back to reality when Leo approached me with his brothers and some red-headed girl. I smiled a little.
"Hey Karai!" Leo said cheerfully.
"Hey Leo, may I ask who this girl is?" I asked looking at her.
She seemed to avoid eye contact and was a little on edge.
"This is April. Another friend of ours. We thought you might like to meet her" Donnie said.
I smiled again and walked up to offer my hand.
"Hey April! I'm Karai, it's nice to meet you" I greeted.
She gave me a quick death glare and refused to take my hand. All six of us stood there in awkward silence.
"Would you please excuse us for a second?" Donnie said leading April away.
I looked back at the brothers who looked a little embarrassed.
"What was that all about? Did I say something wrong?" I asked.
"No but there is something you should know about those two... they're dating. And April gets increasingly jealous when another girl is near him. That's why she didn't treat you nicely" Raph explained.
"Oh, well I can visit another time. I don't want things to be weird between all of us
"No, you made a bet and lost. Which means you have to come to our house for a visit. Donnie and April can have some alone time. Let's just go" Leo said walking away.
