"Are you ready?" I asked getting in my stance.
"Ready to win? I think we are" Leo smirked.
"First one to make it to the fortune cookie factory wins" Donnie said and gave the count down.
Once he hit the number one I sped off and there was no stopping me. My whole 'other side' took over me and took of control of my body. My heightened instincts kicked in and dodged and jumped over building tops. And even though I hated this 'other side', I felt at peace for once. Not because I was jumping and flying, but because I was doing something normal for once. I looked back at the guys who were far behind. That was until I came to an abrupt stop.
"What's wrong Karai?!" Leo yelled.
I ignored him. The gap between the factory and I were too far apart. It was too far to jump across. I looked below me and saw no traffic. So I improvised. I jumped down and began to climb the wall. But since I took the detour, Leo and his brothers were catching up very fast. Mikey was only ten yards away and speeding quickly.
"I can still win this" I whispered speeding up my pace.
The only way the brothers win is if all four of them cross to the top. About a minute later, Mikey did an amazing air jump and stuck his proud landing.
"Yeah boi! Like a person do!" he shouted.
I stopped and checked if the rest of the guys were behind but it was too late. By the time I made it to the top, the rest were waiting for me.
"Sorry Karai but it looks like you lost this round" Raph smirked.
I brushed off my arms and placed both hands on my hips.
"Alright. What time should I come by?" I asked.
"Give me your number and I can text you our address" Leo said pulling out his phone.
We exchanged and got a phone buzz from a person who worked for my father. If I wasn't back in ten minutes, they'll send out a search party.
"I gotta go" I said and then ran off.
"Karai wait! Let me walk you home!" Leo said walking after me.
"No thanks! I'll see you tomorrow!" I yelled back running off.
