Making my way to Prom

48 hours till prom and I haven't slept since I started to find ways to get Zach to ask me to prom. Why couldn't he get that I'm totally available for prom I was interrupted by knocking from the room next door... Brandons room.

I got up out of bed angrily and opened his door not to find him but Derek hanging up streamers and a sign that spelled happy birthday and I must admit it was spelled wrong.
"Derek what are you doing?" I said so confused I wasn't confused why Derek was here because he's always here I was more confused about the banner and streamers.
"Ahh!" I guess I scared Derek so much he hammered a hole through the wall, "Oh my gosh you can't just scare a man on a ladder with a hammer" he said covering up the hole with the happy birthday sign.
"Derek why are you hanging up streamers and a happy birthday sign who's birthday is it?" I said holding the sign he made chuckling at it.
"Well Brandon's. And yours oh yeah I forget your twins." Derek said handing me a condom balloon.
"Umm well first of all ew," I said handing the balloon back, "second of all it's not our birthday."
"Shit it isn't? Well then who's birthday is it today?" Derek said actually thinking.
I wasn't sure if I should tell him that today's birthday was Heather's so I just decided to change the subject. "So where's Brandon?"
"At some party but I just decided to stay back and hang up stuff for your guys birthday but I guess not, have to take this shit down." Derek said ripping all the stuff he hung up down revealing the hole he had created in the wall. "Dammit." Derek said sticking his hand through the wall making it go all the way through to my room.
"DEREK! Why would you do that?" I said running to my room staring back at him through the hole in the wall. I sat on my floor. Why do bad things keep happening to me first Zach doesn't get that I want to go to prom with him then this. I put my head back on my dented bed post. Derek came in and sat next to me.
"Sorry man." Derek said glumly. Normally he doesn't get sad about things like this so something's up.
"Whats up why so sad." I said pushing him lightly.
"What am I doing with my life."Derek said rubbing his eyes. What do I do Derek has never asked me questions like this. Is this even a question I should answer? I was so frazzled my retarded language came out again.
"Ahdhemskbdns" I slapped my face why couldn't I have been born normal.
"Oh Jade you crack me up." Derek said pulling some sort of drug out of his pocket and then slid them back down his pocket, "Do you get it? Crack." Derek said laughing so hard for some reason good the old Derek's back.
"Oh my your so dumb." I said laughing with him. This makes me wonder does Derek just always have drugs?

My alarm woke me up this morning but it didn't scare me I don't remember falling asleep last night I swung my arm over to the other side of my bed hitting something I opened my eyes and jumped out of bed to my surprise a shirtless Derek.
"Ahh! Get out! Get out! Why are you in my bed." I screamed scared afraid of the things I don't remember about last night. "Why are you in my bed?"
"Oh wow I never went home last night." Derek said chuckling.
"Why are you laughing! What did we do?" I said dropping to my knees about to cry at the thought that I might have lost my virginity to Derek.
"Why are you crying we didn't even do anything last night we went to the kitchen got some beers and drank and that's it after two beers you said you were drunk and crashed I stayed the night waiting for your brother but I guess he never showed." Derek said in his almost serious tone.
"Why are you shirtless in my bed?" I said still confused and I guess I do remember drinking because there is empty beer bottles under my bed and I now notice the raging headache I have.
"Well first off I always sleep shirtless and I don't know why I stayed in your room." Derek said picking a snow globe that was on my nightstand.
"Well leave." I said grabbing my snow globe and throwing his shirt at him. He walked off I was left in my thoughts.
"Oh god." I groaned rubbing my head.

I showered and got ready I wore my big red and black flannel with a black tank top and my light faded jeans as I slipped on my black vans I heard the front door open I quickly swepped my black hair to my back and walked down the stairs.
"Oh hey honey sorry we drank a little to much and just stayed over at grandmas." My mom said as her and my dad walked in, " you and your brother better get going to school." My dad said to me. I quickly went to the car outside not mentioning that my brother never came home last night because first I was still mad about everything and because I also didn't want my parents to notice me in pain from drinking.
I opened the car door to find derek in the drivers seat.
"Get in I'll drive." Derek said sitting in the driving seat I knew I couldn't drive with how hungover I was so I just risked my life and got in the car.
We made it to school alive surprisingly. When we got out the car I felt someone staring at me so I turned around to see my brother leaning against Clarissa's car while Clarissa talked about herself to her followers. Brandon glared at me. I'm not sorry for hanging out with Derek.
What I'm scared for is that tomorrow's prom and I still haven't convinced Zach to take me to prom can't wait for class today.
I walked in to science searching for Zach. He's not sitting in our normal seats. I look over to see we got new seating charts I now sit next to creepy Daniel but the good part is my desk is right next to Zach's a little.
I went and took my seat but before I sat Daniel stopped me.
"Wow I never thought I'd get to sit next to someone who looks so pretty," Daniel then got up and smelled my hair," or smells so delicious." He said closing his eyes smiling.
"Uh... Um" I was cut off by Zach he was laughing I looked over and mouthed help me. I took my seat slowly scared of Daniel.
The science lesson went on and on when out of the corner of my eye I saw a paper fall on the ground I looked up at Zach and he motioned with his eyes that it was for me. I opened the note and it read,
What are you doing after school today?
I wrote back, I'm pretty sure I'm doing nothing ;)
Did I just put a winky face who does that I heard Zach laugh a little and the note flew back and read,
Let's hang at my house I have a surprise for you
I was actually nervous so my shaky hands wrote back,
Yeah can't wait!
The rest of the class period I just thought about all the possible ways he was going to ask me to prom.
The day felt long Brooke or Jeremy weren't here today so I had to sit alone till Derek came and sat next to me.
"Hey do you know what's wrong with your brother he isn't talking to me." Derek said stealing some food off my plate.
"Uhh no clue." I said back sliding my plate farther away from Derek. When in reality I knew why. He doesn't like me spending so much time with Derek but I feel as though I'm a better friend then him.
"Humm so you doing anything for prom?" Derek said pulling my plate back to him.
"I'm pretty sure that Zach is going to ask me today after school he's taking me to his place." I said clapping excitedly.
"Oh nice hope it goes well." Derek said getting up leaving. The bell rang and it was time for classes again.

By the last period of the day I was so excited when the bell rang to leave I got out of my seat so fast and practically ran to Zach's car. I can't wait to be asked to prom.
