The next day, Jaela came to school thinking of that kiss. It wasn't her first, but it was her best so far. She had only kissed one other person and that was in 6th grade, with a boy who really watched too many movies.

She walked into school with a smile on her face. Everyone seemed to notice how she glowed, not literally, but they could tell by the look in her eyes, that she was extremely happy.

"Jaela?" Jaela turned around. It was Jem, he was rubbing his arm nervously and her smile still didn't drop, she had internally forgiven him, but had yet to tell him.

"Hey Jem." She said still happy.

"What? You aren't angry?" He said confused.

"I've forgiven you awhile ago, I'm not your responsibility anyway"

"Oh but that's just it, Jaela. You were, I drove you there voluntarily, I should have stayed. But I can't tell you the reason I left, for that is only partly my business to tell. It's important to me." He paused not sure whether or not to continue. "I want to make it up to you."

"Really it's fine, Jem"

"No I'm doing this and you're not telling me otherwise. I'm taking you on a date, tonight."

Were her and Elias a thing? I mean just because they kissed doesn't mean they're a thing...

"I'm not letting you decline so see you after school." Jem left. Obviously less confident than the show he had just put on. Jaela was now very confused. She didn't want Elias to think she just likes to kiss multiple guys, or that the time they shared meant nothing.

Did it mean something? Or was it just in the spur of the moment?

After school she decided she'd talk to a friend. Alexa was the only one available after school.

"Alexa, do you think I should?" Jaela asked her after telling her the story of her date the previous night.

"Yes. I'd say you should go, Jem just wants to forgive himself and if this is what he needs than you need to let him. You don't have to let it lead to anywhere. He's a sweet guy and personally well I'll just say he isn't ugly" She said winking.

Jaela laughed.

"I guess, I mean what's the worse that could happen?"

"Exactly." Alexa said.

Once Jaela went back to the first floor, she saw Jem standing in the lobby. He stood up once he saw her.

"Oh my gosh I thought you weren't gonna come! I mean come on I've got plans." He grabbed her hand and they walked out to his car. She got in and buckled up. It was actually a lot more awkward than before. She didn't quite know what he had planned and she didn't want it to get to far. Who knows maybe her and Elias would've had a chance.

Jem stopped  the car. And grabbed a blindfold. A few seconds he was on her side of the car.

"We aren't here yet but I want it to be surprise so come on." He took her out of the car and held her shoulders to make sure she wouldn't fall.

Jaela wasn't really ready for a surprise she was already really confused. She felt that she cared for Jem but she didn't know him as well as Elias. And trying to add Blaine into the picture led to a lot more confusion. But as they drove she knew they stopped, he got out came back in and the car filled with the smell of pizza. She smirked.

"I know what that is." Jem just chuckled.

When her eyes were uncovered they were at someone's home (she assumed it was Jem's). The pepperoni pizza Jem had gotten on the way here was in the table, Jem was at the tv setting Netflix up and she even spotted popcorn on the counter. The couch was full of blankets and pillows. She smiled and looked at him.

"Thank you Jem. This looks so comfortable and relaxing. So chill."

"Netflix and chill" he said laughing. She laughed and nodded. His eyes squinted when he laughed and his dimple showed more than ever. He was quite beautiful, actually.

"What?" Jem said wiping his face. "Is there something on my face?"

Jaela laughed. "No, goofy. You're just quite pretty." She blushed and looked down.

"Really?" He said thinking about it. She always thought guys knew when they were pretty, but if no one ever told them maybe not. But from his curly bang hair he had going on to his bright eyes, dimples and bright smile, down his body how could he not think he was pretty?

"Yeah, now let's not make this any awkwarder I call dibs on first movie pick." She jumped on the couch and found the Xbox remote. She scrolled through until she realized she didn't even know which genre to choose.

"What kind of movie?" She asked.

"Any." He replied from the kitchen getting the popcorn ready and some pouring some pop.

She put on a horror movie and waited for him to come out before playing past the credits. She'd rather not be afraid in a new house alone.

He finally came out and during the whole movie, Jem acted tough and didn't scream or jump at any parts. Jaela on the other hand found herself hugging Jem any time a scary thing happened she finally towards the end just stayed embracing him. The movie was over and so was the 2 bags of popcorn he had popped.

"That was really scary, I don't know how you do it." He laughed

"I'm a strong man" He said doing the muscle man arms and kissing the invisible gargantuan muscles.

"Yes, yes you are" she said in a fake condescending voice. He replied with a false sad face and she laughed in return.

"I have a question." Jem stated. Jaela suddenly got afraid and sat there wondering what it was he wanted to know until he finally looked her in the eye. "Did you want to go on this date with me?"

"Do you want the truth, half truth, or do you want me to be nice?"

"The truth." He said assuredly looking at her as if he wouldn't get hurt by what she was going to say. She assessed that look and followed his request.

"No, at first I didn't want to. But I wanted to allow you to redeem yourself. And I thought it was cute the dominant persona you tried to put on. Just be yourself, because I'm actually really glad I came with you today. You're more than I thought and even though I didn't wanna come honestly because just yesterday I went out with Elias, I don't regret it."

"Yea, he told me about that..." Jem said not sure whether that was wise to say or not.

"Did you tell him that you were taking me out tonight?"

"Yes of course, he's my best friend so of course."

So Elias had allowed his best friend to go out with the girl he liked. Maybe what they had was nothing...

He leaned in and kissed her while she was thinking of something else. She opened her eyes to see his closed and indulged herself in the kiss. He was even more passionate than Elias. Their tongues were rolling together as one to the beat of their soft hearts once they had gotten into the groove.

She had kissed two best friends. After the kiss, she told him she had homework to do and that she would plan a part two to this Netflix and chill. He took her home and they hugged goodbye. She was not okay with this. She felt like she was playing both of them and she even questioned what she felt for Blaine. She went into her bed and took out her phone.

She opened it and there were 5 calls from Blaine. What did he want?
