Zisteau PoV:
"Being gay isn't right,"
"You're fucked up, that's what you are,"
It's all we ever heard. We never knew how disapproving they were of homosexuality. Now it's all we ever hear. Constantly getting rude whispers and remarks, getting pushed and shoved... I was sick of it. I wanted to hit back, to protect Kurt, but I couldn't bring myself to it. Why not? What was wrong with me?
"We can barely go anywhere anymore..." He says sadly.
"I don't know what's wrong with them," I say. "Look up, Kurt... We can get through this. We'll bare through it together." I move along on the couch and hug him closely. He nuzzles into me and I laugh. Kurt is the most adorable creature on this planet, I'm sure of it. We stay cuddled up to each other, not paying attention to time. Somehow, I feel as though the behaviour of the other guys has brought us closer together. It's something that we've had to deal with together, we can overcome it if we stay together.
"How will we get through this?" He eventually asks me. His vibrant blue eyes meet my mismatched blue and green ones.
"I - I don't know, Kurt... Together..." I say, hurt making its way into my voice, tears threatening to escape. That's one thing Kurt has never seen me do. Our 'friends' turned against us so quickly, just because we're a gay couple. I was close to tears then. It had taken a stupid amount of courage to be able to come out to them, to be greeted with this? Only four of them remained our true friends. Blame, Vechs, Seth and Chad. I was grateful, but that was four out of thirty people. The others had claimed to be our friends. If they really were our friends, they would have been supportive of us, stuck with us. But no. We got this treatment instead.
I feel a tear roll down my cheek, and close my eyes. Kurt has his head on my chest, and I'm gently running my hand through his hair, trying to calm myself down. I can't. It's too much for me.
"I can't do this Kurt," I say eventually.
"What?"
He moves so he's facing me. "Oh, Z," he says, moving to kiss me. I kiss him back, and we stay like this until we're ready to talk. He cuddles back into me, but he's listening, looking up at me with those blue eyes I've grown so familiar with, the shade of which I can imagine without second thought.
"I love you so much, Kurt, there's not even any words to describe how much I love you,"
"I love you to the moon and back, Z, that's a whole 238,855 miles of love," he says with a sad grin.
Suddenly, my tears aren't there anymore as Kurt makes me forget my worries, and we're just sitting, cuddling and kissing, keeping the thoughts of the other guys in the deepest, darkest parts of our minds.
But nothing can stay perfect for long.

I take his hand in mine as we walk through Spawn, waiting for the cruel remarks and glares. We can get through it. We had been at his observatory, checking through some star maps together. This is what I love about Kurt: he's incredibly shy and introverted, but once he gets talking about the stars, he could talk forever, it's like all his shyness disappears immediately and is replaced by an enthusiasm, a passion, something that wards away the insecure Kurt and brings forth one that is brave, bold and unafraid to voice his opinion and findings.
We reach his house and something catches both of us off guard, and I'm filled with a sense of dread I can't even explain. The happiness shrinks back as I see the first of what's to come.
