Nebris Pov:
I said I would never do this again. Not after what happened the last time. I look at the guys fighting off hoards of mobs while wading through a foot of water in the rain and make a decision. I have to.
I dart up the stairs of Bling Towers. I use the emergency ladder to get to the very top and press a button on my wrist-watch. I should have enough room.
I feel my wings growing out and I get a little taller, bigger. Enderdragon size. I jump off the roof and let out a small roar, to let the guys know I'm there. Every Mindcracker, except for Etho, looks up with a terrified expression on their face. Etho looks a bit concerned at first, but I give him what's as close to a reassuring look as I can get. He taps Pause on the shoulder and the two run to a large clearing. I touch down and Pause looks petrified; he doesn't know it's me. Only Etho does. He mouths, 'Should I tell him?' to me. I think for a second before shaking my head. He understands and just tells Pause to get on. I put my tail out like a little ramp.
"No way!" Pause exclaims. "It's an Enderdragon! You can't trust them."
"I trust this one with my life. If anything happens, you can get me back later. Hurry up!"
"Fine," Pause grumbles. It feels weird, people walking on you. I sometimes wish I could speak when I'm in other forms, but, unfortunately, that's not the case. I look back to check that they're holding onto the spikes on my back and take off.
I reach a good height and hover, trying to keep as still as possible. The two use their bows to pick off mobs. A few of the guys look up to see where the random arrows are coming from. I wish I could see their faces from here. Luckily, none of them start firing arrows at me.
When the mob levels are low, we drop Pause on the top of Bling Towers, the tallest building, and go down to pick up more people. The flood's getting bad- when I land, my feet are completely submerged.
I see Etho struggling to convince the guys that I'm safe. Eventually, they climb on and are taken to the top of the building too.
After I get the last group of guys, and Aurey, up, I fly down with Etho so that I can change back to normal. We need to get out of sight of the other guys.
But I've been like this for too long. I can feel it. I need to revert back to a player this instant or I'm screwed.
I growl. Etho knows this sign, and quickly jumps off, making a splash in the deep layer of water on the ground. I change back to a player even though we're still in clear sight of the guys. I yell at the searing pain surging through me. Etho's by my side immediately. I stumble a bit, and he catches me. I clutch my chest as my lungs suddenly decide they don't want to work. I mean, I can breathe, but only just.
"I'll be... Fine in a minute."
"Take as long as you need. I'm right here."
You see, if a shapeshifter stays as something they wasn't born as for too long, it can do bad stuff. Namely kill them painfully and slowly. Fun.
After a couple of minutes, I can at least walk on my own. I don't really want to try running, as my breathing's still a bit odd.
We get to spawn and use the main entrance to Bling Towers, letting a bit of floodwater in. I literally collapse on the floor.
"Tell them about my shapeshifting if you need to." I croak, before losing consciousness.
Etho PoV:
I run up the stairs to the top floor. Nearly all the guys are sheltering from the rain in the roofed part of the top floor, or in their apartments. I notice Pyro and Millbee staring down from the edge. I assume they're looking at the mobs- there's tonnes of them.
