"Vechs!" Aureylian squealed.
"Woah, Aurey!" Vechs laughed, trying to pry the smaller girl off him. "What's making you so happy? Actually, screw that, you're always happy, what's making you happier than usual?" He grinned.
"Christmas!"
Vechs laughed, then spotted a mess of bowls and spoons, bags and boxes, lying on the counter.
"What's all this for?"
"What do you think? I'm gonna make a time machine out of flour. No, I'm baking some Christmassy things!"
"Is this why you called me along?"
"Yes, silly!"
Aurey pulled Vechs along, over to the counter.
"I got the gingerbread house for making now,"
"Then what's all this other stuff for?"
"Surprise," Aurey said simply, giggling.
"Okay... Man, gingerbread houses never go well. I hope you're ready for a disaster!"
"That's why I wanted you to do this with me," she laughed. "Okay, I baked the gingerbread beforehand because baking the stuff is a pain,"
"So... We just ice these walls and the roof?"
"... I think,"
The two started icing the edges of the biscuit, getting the one of them to hold one in place while the other attempted to ice the other pieces.
"Hold it straight, you doof," Vechs laughed.
"Ice it straight!"
Vechs tried to correct the icing, only managing to smear it even more than it was already.
"We're so bad at this," he laughed, trying to balance the piece of gingerbread beside the other two walls. "Take it before it falls!"
"I can't hold three pieces at once!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the three pieces fell over, collapsing in on each other. They collapsed into giggles.
"It'll be a miracle if we're still friends at the end of this," Aurey said, trying to rearrange the gingerbread. "Quick, ice the roof and I'll throw it all together!"
Vechs messily squeezed icing onto the edges of the roof, and tried to balance it quickly on top of the walls.
"They're not gonna stay up," Aurey warned.
"Then, uh... Here,"
Vechs started putting icing on the inside of the house on the corners, attempting to glue it in place from more than one place. Aurey held it as one wall threatened to fall again.
"Don't you dare," she warned the gingerbread. It stayed in place, allowing Vechs to add more icing on the outside of the small structure.
"Okay, if it falls now, I might cry," Vechs said.
The roof eventually stayed in place, and the two stepped back, admiring their work.
"It looks... Interesting," Aurey said, trying not to burst out laughing.
Vechs completely failed, laughing at how terrible the poor gingerbread house looked. The walls were squint, and laden with icing.
"It's - fantastic!" Vechs managed between laughs.
"Oh God... Now we have to decorate it."
Vechs tried to ice little tiles onto the roof, but they honestly just looked like some birds had been doing their business. Aurey placed little square sweets onto it, trying to neaten what had happened, but it was too late: the icing going everywhere mixed with the terrible assembly of the house made the whole thing look a disaster.
Aurey started giggling again. "We need some sort of award for this,"
"Woah, no, it's falling!"
"Nuuu!"
The house collapsed again, and the two gave up.
"Here, this is how you fix it," Vechs said. He balanced the pieces against each other, creating some sort of abstract art and sprinkled some sweets over it.
"There. See, I would live in this house" Vechs told Aurey.
The 'house' was completely destroyed, the walls leaving against each other, icing smeared everywhere, sweets falling off and going everywhere.
"It's beautiful," Aurey laughed.
"This is how you make a gingerbread house," Vechs said proudly.

Ayy, day two. I really liked writing this one, it was fun to imagine everything going wrong XD
Mainly because I've had first hand experience.
Gingerbread houses are the devil XD
