Heyo, this is late, but only by a day. Could have been a month or something. But he, first SMS thing ^-^

Kurt PoV:

I wake up, and see Zisteau still sleeping soundly beside me, with Wolfie snoring gently at the foot of the bed. I smile and try to get out of the bed without making them up; just because I woke up doesn't mean he has to. Besides, it's a Saturday and 7:30am. Who gets up at that time on a Saturday? Well, me, apparently.

I grab my clothes and walk over to the bathroom silently. I've failed at not waking Wolfie, but he stays put, not bothering to get up and follow me as he usually does. I lock the door behind me and turn the water on in the shower. I step into it, and savour the heat of the water. I take a relatively quick shower, and when I'm dressed and out the bathroom, Z is still cuddled up into the blankets. He looks so adorable, hugging the blankets around him.

I scribble down a quick note, just in case Z wakes up. But, knowing him, he probably won't.

I leave it on his bedside counter, then slip out of the room, Wolfie now trotting along beside me.

I make myself a cup of coffee, and drink it quickly; I want to get what I want to buy as fast as I can. I know exactly what I'm looking for, and should know where to get it.

I get Wolfie's food and put that down for him as well, scribbling another note and putting it beside the bag of food, stating that I had fed him. I put the mug to one side, making a mental note to wash it later.

"Okay, Wolfie, I'm just nipping out for a bit. Be back soon,"

I pull on my coat, and open the door.

It's absolutely freezing.

I lock the door behind me, and set off walking into the town. There's more people around than I thought there was going to be, given the temperature and time, but I don't mind.

I see the shop I'm headed for, and am greeted by the warm rush of air from the heater at the front door. I smile at the woman at the till, and start looking for what I need.

You see, I've been going out with Zisteau for a year and a half. All 547 days spent with the most adorable guy on the planet.

So when I say I'm in a jewellery shop, it explains my plans pretty well, I would hope.

"Hello sir!" The woman from the till chirps, walking over to me.

"Hi," I reply.

"Do you need any help finding anything? Know what you're looking for?"

"I should be fine, I know what I'm looking for," I say. "Thanks for the offer, though," I add, not wanting to seem rude.

"No problem at all, just let me know if you need any help," she says, smiling and walking over to assist a woman who has just entered the store.

I look over a display of rings, silver and gold, thin and thick, simple and intricate... None of them seem right. I need something that says something about both of us...

I see more on the other side, and have a look at these as well. Among the last I look at, I see one that catches my eye. It's a silver ring with a leaping wolf on it; the wolf appears to be leaping from fire or lava - there couldn't have been a more cliché ring, but it's perfect. I look down at the number below it on the display case, make a mental note of it then walk up to the till, a giant grin on my face.

"Ah, hello," the woman says. "Have you found what you're looking for?"

"Indeed, I believe the catalogue number is 304, size 7" I tell her.

She types something into a computer, then she looks back up at me. "Ah, the wolf engraved silver ring?"

I nod. "Yup,"

"Who might the lucky lady be? This certainly is a beautiful ring,"

"I, uh," I start. This is always awkward, even though it shouldn't be, and my inability to function in social situations never helps. "Lucky man," I say

"Oh, very lucky man indeed," she says. "I hope you two are very happy together, good luck. Is that all you wish to buy today?"

"Thank you, and yes, that's all,"

I pay with my credit card and she hands over a bag with two small boxes in it.

I thank her once more before leaving the shop, back out into the cold winter air. I feel happy that I've gotten this: the sooner I bought this, the sooner I could ask Z the big question.

The walk back home is only short, so I'm soon back into the warmth of our house. I see Zisteau has, in fact, woken up, as he's in the kitchen, drinking coffee.

"Kurt, you're back. I was wondering where exactly you'd went,"

"Secret," I say, walking up and pecking him on the lips. His are warm against mine, which are freezing cold. He pulls me into a hug, setting the steaming mug down.

"You're freezing," he says.

"I'm aware of that," I laugh.

---

It's the 24th December. I've made plans with Zisteau, only he doesn't know where we're going. He keeps giving me puppy dog eyes, similar to what Wolfie does with me, but I won't give in. Would ruin the surprise.

"Be back later Wolfie," I say.

"See ya, Wolfie,"

We lock the door behind us. I have the box with the ring in it hidden in my pocket. I will admit, I'm nervous: what if I mess up somehow? What if-

Z pulls me out of these thoughts by grabbing my hand, and I walk closer to him.

Eventually, we get to out destination: the park.

It doesn't seem like much, but for me and Z, this place is special: it's where we first met, and we spent a lot of time here, either on dates or not, talking about all sorts of things or just looking at each other, probably looking stupid, but neither of us care.

It's nearly deserted, bar a couple walking through and a woman with a baby bundled up in blankets.

We pass a bench and I stop talking, which makes Zisteau stop too.

"What's up Kurt?" He asks, looking at me.

"I have a question..." I say, starting to take the box it of my pocket.

"What is it?" He asks, obviously not seeing the box.

"Zisteau..." I get down on one knee, and go straight for it, holding the box out. "Will you marry me?"

He puts his hand over his mouth, shocked a bit.

"Yes," he says, tears in his eyes. "Of course I will, Kurt,"
