The boys just got back from a recent search for energems, while Shelby and I covered shifts at the cafe. Shelby and I walked back to the window and found a nicely decorated pink and purple cake. There were slices ready for us to hand out with a free samples sign. Shelby grabbed a tray and so did I. Shelby handed out cake to the customers and I walked over to the boys. "Cake?" I asked and they looked at me curious.
"The chef tried a new recipe. So he's handing out free samples." Shelby explained. The boys shrugged and each grabbed a piece.
"Awesome, cake." Tyler said and was about to take a bite but Riley smacked his hand down on the cake to smack it away from Tyler's hand, keeping him from taking a bite from the piece of cake. No one else took a bite, in shock that Riley had just did that. "A bit tasteless..." Tyler said and sent a pointed look to Riley, who wasn't focused on us.
"Nobody touch it." Riley told us.
"No cake?" Koda asked, who almost took a bite but lowered the cake slice from his mouth from the words that Riley told us.
"Chill bro, a little cake never hurt anyone." Chase resorted, saying it with a little more edge than usual. I get that the two of them aren't similar, so they do sometimes get into small arguments, but this time it seems like this wasn't just a small argument.
"Yeah, tell that to them." Riley pointed at our customers who were moaning in pain after eating the cake. Their teeth all glowed a deep purple color as they all groaned in pain. Evil laughter bubbled into the cafe and we all turned to the kitchen only to see a monster, who was dressed as a chef.
"Hey!" Chase shouted.
"You guys take the front, we'll go through the kitchen." Tyler planned quickly, telling Chase and Riley go head out the front. The rest of us dashed to the kitchen and the monster ran behind a counter and out the back door. We heard some struggling and the actual chef was tied up and gagged.
"You guys help him." I told Shelby and Koda. Tyler pulled out his Dino com.
"He headed out the back door." Tyler told Chase and Riley.
"We've got a visual." Riley replied and Tyler and I sprinted out the back door to find the monster. We pulled out our Dino chargers.
"Dino chargers, unleash the power!" We both morphed and ran towards where Chase and Riley were so we could help them. We saw the monster attempt to attack the other two boys, but they rolled away and missed the lasers. The lasers hit the tree and it started to decay and rot.
"The tree is rotting." Riley said, in disbelief from the monster's attack.
"Cavity is one serious monster." Chase added.
"Don't let him escape, he'll rot the entire city!" Tyler warned Chase and Riley.
"Vivix, attack!" Cavity summoned and sent a wave of vivix our way to prevent us to join Chase and Riley. Just in time, I ducked an axe that a vivix attempted to attack me with. I fell down to my knees and spun my leg around, and the vivix fell down. Tyler and I continued to punch and kick our way through the vivix until the last one was destroyed.
