Chapter Thirty Five: No Matter How You Slice It: Part II

Once we arrived at the park, we gathered at a secluded part of the park. The four of us paired up the other four up with each other and Riley tied one of their legs with the other's one leg. Kendall and I pair up and Koda and Riley paired up. Riley and I both bent down and tied our legs together to our partner, making all of us ready for the three-legged exercise/race. I straightened back up and saw Riley get up as well.

"Okay, good friend work together." Riley said and put his arm around Koda. Kendall and I wrapped our inner arms behind the other's back, ready for the exercise and Riley continued. "Ready, set go." Riley said and Kendall and I started walking together in sync and quickly, just like Koda and Riley. After a few seconds, we heard arguments start up once more and we all turned around to see that Tyler and Chase were bickering with each other and Shelby and Ivan were arguing with each other as well. Shelby fell down to the ground as she tried getting away from Ivan. I sighed.

"Next exercise?" Kendall asked, seeing that this one failed within seconds. We nodded and untied ourselves from each other and went to help the fussing rangers. Once we got everyone else situated and we got ready for the next exercise, pairing them off with different people.  This time I was paired up with Koda and Riley was paired up with Kendall. We're hoping that switching partners might help so that they would stop arguing and become friends again. Koda stood behind me and Riley stood in front of Kendall. Riley and I stretch our arms out to our sides and close our eyes, falling back. I was free falling for a few seconds until I felt Koda catch me. I opened my eyes and saw Kendall catch Riley and we turned to the other rangers after I shot Koda a smile of thanks.

"See friends trust each other as well." I said, hopefully my words went through to them. Tyler glanced back at Shelby.

"Ready?" He asked her, a bored tone in his voice.

"Yes." She said, in an equally bored tone. Shelby's phone went off and rang and she walked away from Tyler, while he was falling backwards waiting for the pink ranger to catch him.

"Shelby-" Koda started but then Tyler hit the ground before any of us could really react to catch Tyler from hitting the ground.

"Ow!" Tyler shouted when he hit the ground with a thud. I winced at the sight of his fall. Next, it was Ivan's and Chase's turn.

"Chase, pay attention!" Koda shouted to him as Ivan fell backwards as well. Chase was too busy checking out a girl who ran past us. Chase, Ivan, Shelby and Tyler all started to fight again and we all groaned.

"Wait, I have one more idea." Riley said. "Shelby's video from her phone from this morning, it might make them remember our friendship." He informed us and we all agreed, this idea might work. Hopefully. We forced the arguing rangers back into Tyler's jeep and I drove us back to the museum quickly, because they all kept arguing throughout the entire car ride. I huffed in annoyance and we headed back down to base. The others were instructed to sit down at the table and Riley and Kendall loaded the video on her laptop. "Okay, well... Maybe we just a reminder on what good friends we are." Riley said and set the laptop down in front of them.

"Shelby, this is the video from your phone." Kendall reminded her. She gave us a blank look and the others watched the video as it played on the laptop.

"Look fun, right?" Koda asked Ivan hopefully. Ivan simply rolled his eyes and looked down at his shoes. Chase stood up and faced us.

"Keeper, I wish you all the luck in the world but give my energem to someone who can stand this bunch." Chase told Keeper, who I didn't realized joined us as well. "I'm on the first bus out of here." Chase said and went to his room. The others followed his lead as well. Chase. Tyler, then Ivan and lastly Shelby all started to file out of the base with their own respective bags in their hands.
