CHAPTER 2: Dates With British Guys, Amirite Ladiez?

October:

You guys might be wondering what happened after I tumbled down like Humpty Dumpty at the Inaugural Buffet, so here it is:

I found myself being laid down on what looked like 6 chairs placed one after the other to make a makeshift 'bed'. I tried getting up, but my head felt so heavy, it kept pushing me back down.

Instantly, I had a pair of piercing blue eyes staring right down at me.

"Are you okay?" I heard that person ask.

"If someone could help me get up and get the hell out of here, that'd be great." I said with a fail giggle.

"Yep, she is fine everyone." The same voice called out. "Here, let me help you with that."

I felt a warm hand support my back and another hand holding on to my arm as I slowly got up. Instantly, the mother of all head rushes took over me.

"Whoa." I moaned, swaying like a drunkard.

"Easy there, Am-ree-tah. You don't want to pass out again." He said, chuckling softly.

"Wait, what's your name again?" I asked, slowly turning to look at him. Man, he was hot.

"I'm Noah Griffith. So, tell me Am-ree-tah, do you think you might remember you're way back home? I'd love to drop you off.

"And finally, we have the babies of the family, Rutu and Naina. They're twins and they are 17 now." I finished.

"Whoa. Eight siblings! That's amazing." Noah exclaimed.

"Amazing and also chaotic." I added. "What about you?"

"Well, I am originally from Wales but my family has stayed in London since I was three. I have two older brothers, both doctors. So you can imagine the horrors when I decided to pursue Mass Communication." He chuckled.

"Wow, I can totally relate. My parents are the same."

"Wait, you live here?" He asked when we got to my apartment. "I live down the road!"

"That's awesomesauce." I said feeling extremely stupid.

"What's an awesomesauce?"

"Never mind!" I said mentally shooting myself in the head.

"Anyway, thank you for the lovely evening. Good night." Noah said warmly.

"Peace." I said making a 'V' with my fingers and quickly shuffled into my apartment before I could cause further embarrassment.

Since that night, Noah and I have become pretty good friends. We share the same interests and taste in music.

We keep hanging out every now and then to play Dota, where he miserably loses every time.

Classes are pretty hectic now and as the semester is coming to an end in about a month, assignments are due every other day. And you know me, good old Amz, queen of procrastination. I don't do anything till the night before the due date.

I made a few more friends here, some were my classmates and some were Emily's and Noah's friends. We would all meet every Saturday night at Emily's for Pizza.
