Things Go Wrong

It's the morning after I realized I had feelings for Caitlin. I was eating breakfast when my phone rang. It was Caitlin. She told me to get over to S.T.A.R. Labs right away. She sounded very frantic. I ran as fast as I could and she was in the cortex tied up with the robber who shot me yesterday. He was pointing a gun right at her head. And now he knew I was the Flash, but I figure he already knew since he knew to capture Caitlin. 

"This is between you and me. LEAVE HER ALONE!" I screamed as my voice grew louder.

"Fine," He said kicking the chair Caitlin was in, sending it rolling across the room. I could breathe. That was until he shot at me, this time right at the chest, but I was to fast. I pretended to die to get him to leave. I heard him shoot at something that wasn't me and run out of the room. I got up and saw tears running down Caitlin's face and a bullet in her leg. I was thankful he didn't kill her because he very well could have. I called Joe and Cisco. I untied Caitlin and took the gag out of her mouth she was sobbing. 

"Cait, I'm sorry I couldn't save you from that bullet." I apologized carrying her to the hospital bed, realizing it was a mistake to call her Cait, she only let Ronnie, who has passed on now, call her that. She didn't scream at me, as she would have to anyone else.

"Barry, I'm not crying because of that. I'm crying because I thought you were dead," She explained, her sobs becoming lighter as she said each word. 

I hugged her. I learned a thing or two from watching Caitlin operate on me and used those skills to help her. I used my speed to get the bullet out of her leg. Joe and Cisco came into the cortex in awe. I attempted to stitch up her wound with a little help from her and Cisco. After I finished treating her wound, I explained what had happened to Joe and Cisco. They were both shocked. Joe and I devised a plan to catch him. We got Caitlin out of the hospital bed and gave her crutches so she could walk over to the desk. Cisco was already working his magic and trying to find this Know-It-All. That's what Cisco called him because he figured out I was Flash. As Caitlin and Cisco worked on finding Know-It-All, Joe pulled me out to the hallway to talk. 

"This is not your fault. You and Caitlin are both alive because you played dead." Joe explained.

"Joe, I know it's not my fault, but I was going to ask Caitlin out today and now she's on crutches until the end of next week, so now I have to wait," I sighed.

"I FOUND HIM!" Cisco called.

He gave me him his location and I was off. I had so much anger built up this guy had caused me, I was ready to face him. I ran towards him and handcuffed him. All I needed was my anger to get me to catch this guy. I ran him to Iron Heights. It was over, I won. 

"Well, Dr.Snow, you have been avenged," I said proudly.

She thanked me. Joe and Cisco left short after, so, it was just me and Caitlin. 

"So Cait, I was wondering... um...do you....maybe want to....uh go out..like on a date with me?" I asked stuttering.

Her eyes widened. I thought I had maybe asked at the wrong time, but then she smiled her beautiful smile and replied, "I would love too! But could we maybe keep this secret for now, I just want to see how things go before we tell people."

I nodded and helped her get her things out to her car while she walked on crutches behind me. She drove home and I met her there to help her get situated. 

"So, when will that date  be?" She asked and smiled.

"Tomorrow, if you want, we can leave work early and I'll bring some movies and popcorn over," I said.

"Sure," she said happily.

I made sure she was ok and then left her house feeling like I was on top of the world.

Ahhh! Finally, Barry and Caitlin are together! It might have been to fast, but remember this takes place around the time Season 3 will start.
