Moving In

The next morning I woke up and got dressed. I made the usual eight blueberry pancakes for Cait and me. She walked out, but this time still in her sweats and a t-shirt. She had brushed her beautiful red hair, though.

"Morning beautiful," I said, smiling.

"Morning handsome! So I was thinking that we could go to Joe's house after breakfast and pack your things, you know without the speed," She told me.

"Yeah, that would be awesome!" I replied

We smiled at each other. In between flipping pancakes I kissed her. I finished the last of the pancakes and Cait set the table. We ate together until she got up and went to shower. I cleaned up the table when I was done with my pancakes. My phone buzzed. It was Cait. If you want you can start unpacking the stuff you had from last night. I did as she said and threw my dirty clothes on the ground where my hamper will go and put a few shirts and pants that I had in case I was staying over again in her drawers. When she was done getting ready, we drove to Joe's house in Cait's small mint green car.

When we arrived, I walked in. I could tell Joe was totally freaked out cuz his eyes were wide open. Cait and I sat down at the dining room table where Joe and Iris were eating breakfast.

"So what are you two doing here?" Joe asked.

"We are here to pack Barry's stuff," Cait replied.

Joe nodded. We walked upstairs to start packing. Joe had already put boxes in my room. Cait packed my pillows and blankets while I packed my clothes. It was kind of funny seeing my childhood room become the way it was when I had moved in. I had stopped from packing and just looked around at the empty room. Cait rubbed my arm in sympathy.

"You ok?" Cait asked.

"Yeah," I replied, breaking the trance I was in.

We carried the boxes downstairs together. When we got downstairs, Joe was standing next to the couch with Iris. I could see the jealousy in Iris's eyes. Cait started to pack her small car with all the boxes she could. I would run the rest to her house.

When Cait was done packing her car I said, "Hey, can I talk with Iris alone for a moment?"

Cait and Joe nodded. They went outside and then it was just me and Iris. I mean if anything is awkward, it's this.

"Barry, I'm fine," Iris said, trying to hide the pain.

"No, Iris, you're not. I can see the jealousy in your eyes. I don't have those feelings for you anymore. I know I said that last time and I was lying, but Iris, this time, I'm telling the truth," I told her.

"Barry, I want you to be happy and all, but aren't you moving to fast?" Iris asked.

"Iris, we are doing what we think is right, so please be happy for me on this," I begged.

"I am Barry," Iris replied.

"Well I should get going," I said.

I hugged Iris and opened the door. I hugged Joe and watched Cait drive off. I ran each box to Cait's house. I guess now it is our house. When I was finished getting all the extra boxes into the apartment, I helped Cait with the rest of the boxes. We unpacked the boxes pretty quickly considering it was mostly just clothes. I didn't really have much, so it was easy to unpack. Once we were finished with the important boxes, we sat down to eat lunch. I made both of us salads.

"Maybe we should cancel the movie marathon. It would be a lot more fun to go out somewhere," I suggested.

"Yeah sure, where do you want to go out?" Cait asked.

"How about the Central City Museum?" I said.

"Yeah! That sounds fun!" Cait exclaimed.

We ate our salad and got ready to go. We drove to the museum together. When we got there we got the admission tickets and we roamed throughout the museum. We walked through the history of Central city. It was basically a long hallway with pictures and dates within it. We started to get closer to the present day. I saw the Particle Accelerator explosion and that night's memories starting flowing back. My last thoughts before being struck by lightning. Waking up in S.T.A.R. Labs, confused. Meeting Cait for the first time.

"You ok Bare?" Cait asked, concerned.

"Yeah, just the memories flowing back," I assured her.

She held my hand and started to pull me away from the explosion part of the timeline. We walked towards the present day. I saw the singularity and Flash Day. There was a little boy looking at Flash Day. I walked up behind him.

"Come on Jeremy, you're blocking that man's view," A woman said trying to get her son to move.

"No, it's fine! Do you like Flash?" I asked Jeremy, bending down to his height.

"Yeah, he's my favorite superhero!" Jeremy told me.

"Yeah, he is pretty cool isn't he? You know I saw him once," I told Jeremy.

"No way! Really?" Jeremy asked getting really excited.

"Yeah, he ran right past me on my way to work," I told him.

"That' so awesome!" He yelled.

"Come on Jeremy we have to go," His mom said.

"Bye, sir!" He said, waving.

"Bye!" I said, waving back and getting up.

I looked over at Cait. She had the biggest smile on her face. She grabbed my hand again and we walked to the end of the timeline that opened up in a new room. When we walked in our eyes widened. It was a tribute to The Flash room. I looked around. There was a wall of everyone known that The Flash had saved. My eyes started to tear up. Cait looked at me and wiped my tears. There was Flash merchandise everywhere. I was frozen. I had no idea this existed, I had no idea I was this important to everyone. Once I broke myself from the trance I was in, I saw Cait wasn't next to me. I searched for her. I found her at the check out counter.

"I bought you something," Cait said, holding up a Flash phone case that has the lightning bolt symbol and says I run with the Flash.

" Awe, that's awesome! Thank you!" I said.

I hugged her and we walked out of the Flash tribute room, and into the last section of the museum. As we got close to the end, I got a text from Joe. Wanna come over for dinner tonight? You can bring Caitlin. I replied with, yes. I told Cait and she said that we should go. We finished up at the museum and drove to Joe's house.

When we got to Joe's house Iris was still cooking.

"Hey you two!" Joe said.

"Missed me already?" I asked.

Joe laughed. Iris set out the food and we began eating. Cait's phone buzzed and she excused herself.

"Barry, meta-human who can control water, the way sandman could with his skin,"

I got up and carried Cait to S.T.A.R. Labs. I ran to fight this new metahuman. I ran to grab him, but he just turned himself into water. His arm turned into water and punched me. I ran away. I let him get away, but I didn't know what to do. I ran back to S.T.A.R. Labs.

"We need to do what we did with Sandman, but this time we need to freeze him," Cisco stated.
