I ran. I ran through the cold wind with the electricity running down my body. Normally, I would feel as if the stress of the world disappeared. I would be happy. But today, I'm mad. I ran through the familiar sewers. I arrived at the small area Joe was held captive. I saw Zoom. He was facing me.
"What the heck? Why did you take her?" I yelled in fury.
"To lure you here," Zoom said.
I didn't have a second to even think before he charged after me. He went all Temple of Doom on me. I saw the world get darker and darker until there was nothing.
I could hear everything. I heard Zoom run out of the room. I couldn't move or see. I laid there forever. I heard Cisco in my ear piece, screaming for me to answer. He knew I wasn't dead, he knew I was dying. Soon enough, Cisco wasn't screaming for me. He had put Cait on to talk to me as he came to get me. I heard Cait sob. She kept telling me to hang in there. I heard Cisco come running in. I think he picked me up and started to carry me because I could hear the water sloshing beneath me. I heard the van's engine getting closer and closer. Cisco drove me back to S.T.A.R. Labs.
"Barry! Oh my God!" I heard Cait yell.
"Caitlin, you have to save him," I heard Cisco say.
After, what felt like forever, I started to regain feeling. I couldn't pull together enough strength to move. I felt Cait's hand on me.
"The house is quiet without you there. I haven't eaten pancakes in forever. Please wake up. I can't lose anyone else," Cait cried.
I felt her tears roll down my hand. How long have I been unconscious? I need to regain my strength, I need to see Cait again. I pulled together every bit of strength and moved my head and opened my eyes.
"Hey beautiful," I said weekly.
"Barry!" Cait yelled, hugging me.
"How long was I out?" I whispered, still hugging Cait.
"2 months," She replied.
I wiped the tears from her face. She got up and started to check my reflexes and eyes.
"Looks like your all good Bare," Cait informed me.
"That's good. Listen, Cait, it's all my fault you were captured.." I started to say until Cait cut me off.
"Stop it! You can't blame yourself for this. It's Zoom's fault," Cait mumbled.
I calmed down. I got out of the bed.
"Barry, you're alive!" Cisco remarked.
"Yeah. Where's Iris and Joe?" I asked.
"Police Station," Cisco replied.
I ran off before they could tell me to stay. I went to Joe's house and changed. I ran to the police station to see Iris and Joe. When I walked in everyone stared at me.
"Barry?" I heard Joe say.
I smiled.
"I thought you died," Iris said.
"What? I never died," I said, confused.
"Cait said you were dying and probably wouldn't make it," Joe explained.
"That doesn't mean I died," I said.
"Well, were are glad you are alive," Iris said.
I pulled them in for a hug before running back to S.T.A.R. Labs.
"What the heck? Why did Joe and Iris think I was dead?" I asked.
"You were in a very bad state, we thought you were going to die, so we told them to not get their hopes up," Cait explained.
