Chapter 1: The first day of Goode

Annabeth's POV

I woke up to the ring of my alarm clock. I hugged my knees in excitement. Finally, I could see my seaweed brain every day in Goode High from now on. Not to mention, Thals, Nico, the Stoll brothers and Katie! Like me, it was the Stoll brothers and Katie's first day of school at Goode too. After many, many tiring rounds of persuasion, my dad finally agreed to let me transfer to Goode High and be with my best friends and boyfriend! Before, I went to another high school in San Fran, I flew here a few days ago. I IM-ed Thals a few days before, telling her the good news. I also instructed her to tell the rest except Percy. I wanted to surprise Seaweed Brain without the others ruining the surprise.

I dressed myself in the outfit I picked the night before- a grey t-shirt with a gold owl, denim shorts and my favourite owl earrings and bracelet. I hurriedly gobbled down my breakfast and went to school. I was not going to be late on my first day, especially since I needed to go down to the general office and get my schedule. Also, I needed to make a good first impression.

Percy's POV

Something different was going to happen today. I can kind of sense it, from the moment I woke up just now. But what was that "something", I have no clue. I seriously hope it doesn't relate to monsters and attacks. I had enough of that for a while. Now, I just hope to have a peaceful normal life for a while, with all the monsters still in Tartarus. If only my girlfriend, Annabeth was here in New York with me, in Goode as well. However, Annabeth's father insisted on Annabeth studying in a high school in San Francisco. Seeing my Wise Girl through Iris Message certainly is different from hanging out with her in person. How I miss my Wise Girl, I wish she was in Goode with me.

Once I got into school, the school's most popular girl or rather a mean bully, Nikki, walked up with me and flirted. As usual. This was her morning routine, to flirt and ask me to go out with me. I sighed, I had told her every single time that I had a girlfriend and I wasn't planning on leaving her anytime soon. Or rather, I would never leave my Owl Face.

Annabeth's POV

I stood outside the school, waiting for Thalia. We had arranged to meet here and she would then bring me to the office and show me around.

"Thalia!" I shouted in excitement and engulfed her in a big hug as she came up to me, for I had not seen her and my other best friends for a long time.

"Hey Annabeth! By the way, your boyfriend is already in school. But I have to warn you, he is like considered the hottest guy here, all the girls are forever wanting him to be their boyfriends. They're going to be super pissed when Percy acknowledges you as his girlfriend." Thalia smirked.

I nodded, feeling kind of surprised and made our way to the general office where I collected my schedule. Thanks to Paul, Percy's stepdad, the seven of us had the same schedule. We walked towards the lockers, where a large group of girls where huddling over there, squealing. I looked at Thalia, she simply pointed towards the guy who the girls were squealing over. He turned to my direction, but didn't notice. I could feel myself getting lost in his sea-green eyes, again. It was my Seaweed Brain. I slowly walked towards Percy while Thalia trudged behind.

"Percy, let's go to the movies this Friday! It'll be a wonderful date!" it was a honey sweet voice that immediately made me want to puke.

I frowned. Thalia smirked as Percy gave her a firm no then proceeded to tell her that he already had a girlfriend,showing her a photo. I immediately recognized the photo as the one Percy and I took at the beach.

"I bet you are just using her as a cover to push me away Percy hun. I bet you photoshopped her into that photo!" the girl, Nikki, said.

Ugh. Did this girl really think I wasn't real? Wait till she sees me, she's going to regret her very existence!

Percy POV

Seriously, I had enough of that βλάκας (idiot) Nikki. She could be with any other guy in the school, why does she keep pestering me? Seriously, if only I was allowed to use my powers on mortals, I would have summoned up a water tornado and sucked her up in it. But as the gentleman I was, I just kept telling her how I had a girlfriend, Annabeth. I even showed her my photo of us both, taken at the beach previously. However, no one seemed to buy it that the girl in the photo, Annabeth, was my girlfriend. Even my best friends. They all thought that she was just photoshopped in the picture. Why won't they believe me? Annabeth is real and she's the most perfect girlfriend ever.

Annabeth's POV

"Percy...are you glad to see me again?" I used a nasally voice that was very different from my usual one.

Everyone was staring at me, the new girl, watching how I would get rejected by the most popular guy in school. Or so they thought.

"For the last time, Nikki!...!"Percy said in an annoyed tone, still focused on his locker.

"Seaweed Brain!" I cut in.

He spun around faster than a lightning bolt.

"Annabeth? Annabeth! What are you doing here?" His eyes widened in surprise, then gave me a bone crushing hug.

As he kissed me, I felt like I was flying. All the girls around him gasped and started to sob in dismay. Nikki's mouth widened in shock, then her face hardened into a deep scowl, while I smirked.

"What are you doing? No one, absolutely NO ONE kisses my boyfriend!" Nikki yelled, roughly pushing me away.

"Excuse me? You were never my girlfriend, are not my girlfriend, and never will be my girlfriend! This is Annabeth, my real girlfriend." Percy yelled back.

"Just you wait, Percy will be mine, you dumb blonde! You're so ugly anyway! I'm so much prettier and better for him!" she huffed at me.

"Annabeth is definitely not dumb! She's a thousand times smarter than you ever will be! Also, you're pounds of makeup makes you look so much dumber and uglier." Percy retorted.

She huffed and strode away, glaring at me. Wow, you could literally see the smoke coming out from her ears. I turned to Percy and kissed him. To thank him for sticking up for me, being the most loyal Seaweed Brain ever.

Percy POV

I knew it! Something really different happened today, Wise Girl came to Goode! Today's her first day of school here at Goode, her parents finally allowed her to transfer here! I was really surprised though, I thought it was Nikki who was going to ask me out again just minutes after I rejected her. However, it was just Annabeth tricking me, using a nasally voice. I fell into the trap at once, until  someone said "Seaweed Brain!" I'm not that dumb, I know there's only one person who calls me that and it's Annabeth. I was happily enjoying our little reunion, with dear Pinecone Face Thalia smirking behind. Until that dumb brunette Nikki butted in and roughly pushed Annabeth and called her a "dumb blonde". Who did that Nikki, think she is? How dare she call my Wise Girl "dumb"? An insult to my Wise Girl is an insult to me. She dares to insult us again, I'll show her what I'm made of! I was practically fuming, a few seconds later and I would have blasted water in her face already. Luckily, Annabeth put a calming hand on my shoulder. I guess she noticed how mad I was already. She knows me inside out, and she's so precious to me, no other girl can replace her.
