Natalia's POV

I am, no, was a normal 15 year-old leading a normal life. I have a twin, Celeste who was also normal. Our family was your typical family- a dad, a mom, and two children. We were happy with our lives, our parents were caring and loving. I couldn't be happier. The first (sort of) blow to my happy life came just last year. Up until last year, we believed that John, our stepdad, was actually our biological dad. But no, last year, after we turned 14, our mom told us that John wasn't our biological dad. Our biological dad left mom after a few weeks. However, our real dad brought mom much happiness after the grief when great-grandma died. Every time mom spoke of him, her eyes would light up. I could tell she still loved him. His name was Fred, apparently. He was a great musician and a doctor, and I quote "as hot as the sun". Both Leste and I were quite upset that my mum hid the real truth of our dad from us for so long. Still, better late than never, I guess. After that, things were kind of awkward between us and our stepdad. However, we were quite close since young and it took me awhile to just accept him as like my real dad, like before. But these questions were always in my mind: Will I ever get to meet my real dad? Why hasn't he ever visited us? Why did he leave mom after getting her pregnant?

Now, the second blow, just after one year. Our biological dad was a Greek God, apparently. It's hard to believe Annabeth and Percy. That the Greek Gods are alive and kicking, and that my best friends are children of the Greek Gods. I have always believed that Greek Gods were myths yet now my dad is a God. And then now both Leste and I are plunged into this other world. This new world of monsters, Gods, heroes. And the worst thing? 90% chance of death. I wonder did Mom ever know that our dad was a God?

Annabeth broke into my thoughts, "Hey Nat, I think you should call your mom and explain. No, maybe you should Iris-message her so the rest of us could explain to her. Does she know?"

We all followed Annabeth to the kitchen, she turned on the tap and threw a...coin...into the water. And...it disappeared. How?

"O Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow, show me Celeste and Natalia's mom. Location unknown." She chanted.

My mom suddenly appeared, right in front of my eyes. I gasped in shock, and moved a few steps back. Leste was doing the same, while the others looked like they were used to it. At the same time, they probably were. Annabeth was apparently 7 went she went to "Camp Half-Blood", Katie, Percy and Nico were 12 and the Stolls when they were 9 and 10 respectively. Thalia was around 10 when she went there and apoarently got turned into a tree.

"Mom!" Leste shouted, trying to get mom's attention, her back facing us.

She spun around faster than a lightning bolt, "Oh my God, what's this? Nat and Leste? Why...?"

"Mom, we just found out we're demigods. Our Dad, Fred, is a God, a Greek one to be exact. They're real."

Mom was stunned. Her mouth was open, but nothing came out.

"Mom, it's okay. We're staying over at Percy's for tonight, then tomorrow we'll head to the demigod camp."

Tears silently streamed down Mom's face. I couldn't bear to see her like that. I felt like my heart broke in half.

"I don't believe it. I'm not letting you go. Come straight home now!"

"But Mom-"

"Hi, I'm Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena here. My other friends here are also demigods. I can assure you, that the Greek Gods are real. It would be safer for both Celeste and Nat to come with us, to the demigod camp. The camp boundaries are magical, and would protect them from monsters. Right now, something dangerous is stirring, only we don't know what. It would be best for both of them to be trained how to fight against monsters."

Slowly, mom nodded her head, sobbing now. I bet she can't believe what she's heard, but I know she wants the best for us and wishes us to be safe.

"Mom, we'll talk to you whenever we can. I think, since it's a camp that we'll stay year-round, we'll come over tomorrow to pack our clothes. Goodnight."

Annabeth waved her hand over the image, and the Iris-message disappeared.
