Chapter 9: Confirmation

Percy's POV

Annabeth said, "Celeste, it was just a dream." What was she talking about? Demigod dreams? But wait...why would she talk about it in front of a mortal? Unless...Celeste isn't a mortal? Oh my gods...

"Annabeth, is she a...? Demigod dreams?" I said in Greek

"I saw her in my dream Percy, you know it's possible for a demigod or a mythical creature to have seen me, but...not a mortal. Do you think they're the ones?" Annabeth replied in Greek too.

Katie and the others gasped.

"What are you guys talking about? I don't understand! Why are you guys talking in Ancient Greek? Celeste spoke in Ancient Greek.

We all gaped. Oh my gods, she spoke in ancient Greek!

"Celeste, you can speak ancient Greek? Nat, can you speak Greek too?" I asked

"Um...I think learnt it when I was young so it kinda comes to me naturally? Nat too...but why?

Annabeth's POV

Oh my gods...Celeste knows Greek? She could see me in my demigod dream? Celeste must be a demigod, like us! Nat too, since they are twins. But I need to confirm that they are demigods and not clear-sighted mortals like Cass, or even a "mythical" creature or monster in disguise? A sudden thought struck me like lightning. I stared at Percy, who was dumbfounded, giving my best i-have-a-plan look.

"What is going on?" Nat asked.

"Celeste, do you have a stepmom or a stepdad? Please tell me the truth, this is important...also, what's your passions and what are you good at" I turned to Celeste.

"Um... I have a stepdad. I'm on the swim team and choir and well, I've loved music since I was young, I play the piano and the violin, and I love medical stuff. I always wanted to be a doctor!" Celeste's eyes shone as she talked about her passions.

Poseidon? Not likely, though she is in the swim team and according to Percy, she's one of the best...but Percy said his father had no other children his age...music? And she wants to be a doctor? Stepdad? Possibly Apollo...but then again... I thought. I have to admit, I was curious as to who their godly parent would be...I have a feeling that it's Apollo, though. The rest were standing beside us, I could see the gears in their brains turning, trying to figure who their Godly parent was.

"Um, do you both have ADHD and Dyslexia?" Katie said

"Percy, I have a plan, to confirm that they're...and not other...things. Bring Riptide out now, and yes I know what I'm doing." I smirked at seeing Percy's absolutely clueless face.

"Um...yeah both of us have ADHD and Dyslexia, but we didn't want anyone to know...why? And what's Riptide? Why did you want to talk to us?" Natalia asked, looking at us weirdly.

Percy took out Riptide and uncapped it. Immediately it transformed to a beautiful celestial bronze sword that shone in the sunlight. I unsheathed my dagger at the same time.

"Isn't that the sword and dagger you used just now? You know, when fighting with the monsters?" Celeste gasped, her mouth dropped open and her eyes were as wide as drachmas. Natalia looked as astonished and was backing away.

"Okay...I'm just going to prick your finger a little with my dagger, I need to check something."

As I pricked Celeste's finger, blood started trickling down her finger. The exact same thing happened when I did it to Natalia.

I shot the rest a pointed look, "You guys know what this means right?"

They nodded grimly. They were the two demigods. We would have to do the whole explaining-about-the-Greek-Gods thing again.

"Um guys? What's going on? Will someone please explain to me? Also why would you both have a sword and a dagger with you?" Nat asked.

"I promise you, we will explain to you. Everything is...okay I guess. Um is it okay if they come over later, Perce?" Percy nodded. "Okay so after school, both of you come over and we will explain everything."

Celeste and Natalia both shrugged.

Celeste's POV

I don't get it. Why was Annabeth in my dream? Also, that particular dream was very weird, very different from normal... It was very, extremely real and scary. It also showed exactly what happened today. Almost like...that dream was telling me what would happen today. What did this mean, exactly? And why did my best friends carry weapons with them.There is definitely something different about those two, and I have this feeling in my gut that tells me that Nat and I are the same. There would definitely be many questions for Percy and Annabeth later, and a long, crazy, hard-to-believe explanation. I just know it.

Hey guys! Hope you all are doing great! I haven't been updating this week as I just started school. Well, it's just the first four days and I'm already bombarded with tons of homework, two projects and many essays to write. Hope y'all understand! I won't update as frequent anymore as this year is quite important so studies first!
