Katie's POV

After my best friend judo-flipped that vlacas and I threatened him, I stomped off. Though I remembered to act sassy first and gave him a hairflip. Seriously, Jack deserves it. According to Annabeth, Percy said that Jack was a hardcore player. He dated almost all the girls here and dumped them. Well, I know myself and Annabeth, we're not going to give him the satisfaction of dating him only to be dumped. I'm happy with Travis and Annabeth is happy with Percy. Seriously, I hate that despicable player, if only I could, I would use my demigod powers and leave him hanging upside down on a tree.

"Katie-Kat, I know you're mad at him but just ignore him. He's a vlacas and I'm never going to let you go anyway. I hope he's in our PE class so we can trash him! Channel your anger into how-to-beat-his-ass!" Travis comforted me, as he saw the anger written on my face.

Just hearing him say that made me calm down a lot. I really do love him a lot, just don't tell him or else somebody will get a bigger head than he already has. I gave him a quick peck on his cheek and we rushed to the gym. I didn't want to give the teachers a bad impression of me on my first day, as they say "The first impression counts the most".

~Line Break~

As we all walked into the gym on time, Thalia pointed out the man standing in a corner, he was our coach. A minute later, the bell rang.

"Listen up everybody! Today, the school has invited campers from a camp in Long Island to teach you all swordfighting!" Coach said.

At this, we seven demigods looked at each other. Were the campers from our camp? At the same time, there were whoops and cheers, mainly from the guys. I spotted a familiar face that belonged to Jack, and I was quite pleased. This was what we all could kick his ass at.

5
people walked out, and I was pleased but not too surprised to see Piper, Reyna, Jason, Malcom and Leo. All of us grinned widely. There were a few wolf-whistles from the other guys as they spotted Piper and Reyna. The girls scowled upon seeing their natural beauty.

"Miss me? The hot McShizzle?" Leo yelled, grinning ear to ear.

"This, is Leo. Just ignore him. I'm Piper, this is Jason, Malcom and Reyna. We're going to teach sword fighting today." Piper introduced.

"Can we have two pair of volunteers to spar? After assessing, we'll split up and begin to teach the basics." Jason said.

At this, all seven of us raised our hands enthusiastically. Percy and Annabeth were chosen, since they were the best swordfighters at camp. They started with the same position, waiting for the other to start attacking first. I guess ADHD kicked in, as both of them started at the exact same time. They were quite beautiful to watch, although this was the bajillion time we watched them sparring. It was like they knew what each other was going to do, though this was kind of expected as they knew each other so well, including their sword fighting tactics.

Everyone's mouth was open, including the coach, as they watch the duo spar with such agility and grace. After 20 minutes, still no one had emerged the winner.

"Okay, I think we'd better end this now, there's no knowing when they'll end. As expected from the best of the best in camp, of course." Malcom interrupted.

"Wait, you know them?" someone piped up.

"Yeah, we go to the same camps. Anyway, now will the second pair volunteer themselves?" The daughter of Bellona spoke.

Jack's POV

I immediately volunteered to be one of the next pair. I mean, I should show everyone how awesome I am at this right? I have been learning sword fighting for over a year already, and my coach says I'm a natural, the best sword fighter that he has already seen! I bet I could beat everyone's ass at this! This is my chance to show that Prissy that I'm much better than him!

"I want to spar against Percy. I bet that I'll win him in five seconds or less." I said, totally confident of beating him.

I noticed that the five teachers, as well as Annabeth's gang were smirking. The two identical-looking brothers and one of the teachers, Leo, I presume immediately went around betting with the rest of the class, who would win. As I expected, most of my classmates betted that I would win. Yeah! I'll show them all!

Annabeth's POV

Seriously, that big-headed vlacas believed that he could beat Percy in five seconds flat! I have to say, Leo and the Stolls were certainly smart, they used this as an opportunity to earn money as they knew that there was no way he could beat the best sword fighter at camp.

Sure enough, the sparring match ended in five seconds. Percy was the winner, of course. The Stolls and Leo enthusiastically opened and closed their palms, the universal signal for collecting money, since they won the bet. Seaweed Brain totally beat his ass! Luckily, or this guy would get more swollen-headed and compare himself to Percy, saying he was much better. You would have thought that seeing me and Percy spar would show him that Percy was a pro at sword fighting and he himself could not beat Percy, but no, he still thought he was way better than Percy. I guess he's really embarrassed now, but he kind of deserves it.

Jack's POV

I am utterly embarrassed. Instead of beating his ass and coming out superior, HE beat me in five seconds flat. Totally embarrassing. It's okay though, I'm still way better than him in other stuff. Annabeth will soon realise that I'm much better than Jackson, ditch him and come to me! *cue evil laughter*

I was determined to beat Percy's ass though, so I focused intently on the lesson that the instructors gave. I had already learnt all the basics, so I was looking out for tips that I hadn't learn. When I get home, I'm going to practice more sword fighting.

Wait and see, Jackson, wait and see. Next time, I'll whoop your ass so hard you'll regret ever coming to Goode.
