"Luke...are you sure about this?" You asked.

"I am, Y/N. It's the only way."

The two of you walked through the halls of the second Death Star. Darth Vader was escorting you to the Emperor, walking behind the two of you so you couldn't get away. Your hand itched for your lightsaber, but it was gone, taken by Vader. You didn't think Luke's plan was a good one, but you went with him anyways. You trusted Luke, you had known him since you were small children. You were a farmer just like Luke, and have been with Luke all throughout his adventure.

When Obi-Wan revealed Luke's ability to use the Force, and gave him a lightsaber, he sensed you had it too. He said he also knew your father, and gave you a lightsaber that had been his too. You trained with Yoda, the same as Luke, and you also went with him to Cloud City, when his father was revealed. Your father was revealed too, and it was a terrible time for the both of you. You knew Vader was going to take you to your father. That was why you were afraid.

Eventually the both of you arrived in the Emperor's throne room. From the throne at the end of the room, the Emperor spoke.

"Welcome, young Skywalker, and Y/N. I have been expecting you. You no longer need those."

He waved his hand and the handcuffs on your's and Luke's hands fell off.

"Guards, leave us." He commands. After the guards left, he turned back to you two. "I'm looking forward to completing your training. In time you will call me Master."

"You're wrong!" You said. "Me and Luke will never turn to the Dark Side."

"Oh, no my young Jedi." He replied. "You will find that it is you who are mistaken, about a great many things."'

"Their lightsabers." Darth Vader finally spoke up, holding out your lightsabers in a gloved hand to the Emperor.

The Emperor gladly took them, setting Luke's on an armrest on his chair. He continued to look at yours. "Ah, yes, a Jedi's weapon. Y/N won't need this anymore. If she's like her father." He gave yours back to Darth Vader, who began to suspend it using the Force. Suddenly, he pulled out his own lightsaber, activating it and slicing yours in half as it hung in the air. Then he put his lightsaber away, and you watched as yours feel to the ground in two pieces.

You didn't know what to do. You didn't have another weapon, that was it. Luke lost his in Cloud City, but you never lost yours. And watching it fall to the ground in two pieces broke something inside of you.

Suddenly the Emperor turned to Luke. "By now you must know your father can never be turned from the dark side. So will it be with you."

"You're wrong!" Luke argued. "Soon I'll be dead...and you with me."

The Emperor simply cackled, and said "Perhaps you refer to the imminent attack of your Rebel fleet."

You and Luke looked up at each other in shock, wondering how the Emperor had foreseen the attack of the Rebellion.

"Yes..." he continued, "...I assure you we are quite safe from your friends here."

Luke continued to deny it. "Your overconfidence is your weakness."

"Your faith in your friends is yours." Shot back the Emperor.

"It is pointless to resist, my son." Darth Vader reasoned with Luke.

The Emperor continued getting into Luke's head, telling him your friends were going to fail. Eventually, he beckoned Luke to the throne room's large window, telling him to watch as your friends were defeated. You watched as he looked at his lightsaber, wanting to attack the Emperor.
