"You don't have a chance of being with a girl like her." Han smirked.
"I have just as good of a chance as you and you know it!" Luke challenged. "You just don't want any competition."
Han's smile disappeared, and he shoved Luke. "Whatever, kid. Y/N's mine, so back off!"
Luke watched as Han sauntered off, heading in the direction of your ship, which you were busy making repairs on.
____________
"Hey, uhh, Y/N." Han said, tapping on your shoulder. You looked away from your ship and frowned at Han in exasperation.
"What is it this time, Solo?" You sighed.
"I was...wondering if you'd want to hang with me in my quarters tonight." Han said awkwardly. "I could...give you some tips on...fixing your ship!"
You crossed your arms, glaring at Han. "Oh, so you think I need your help huh? I've been flying for years, Solo. Probably more than you have. So what is it that you really want?"
"Hmmm..." Han pretended to think, suddenly smirking. "You."
"Wha- Han! You are disgusting!"
"Man...I thought it would work." Han muttered to himself.
"Excuse me?" You asked, getting more offended by the second. "Do you think I'm some prize to be won or something?" Suddenly your face dawned with realization. "Ohhh...I see what it is! You've practically hit up every girl in the Rebellion! Even Leia! And I'm the only one that hasn't been won over, huh?" You accused.
"What?" Han asked, with a shocked expression. "I would never-"
"Sure, Han. Sure." You turned back to your ship, hinting for him to leave.
Han stood there for a second, searching for something to say back to you, but thought of nothing. Then his face reddened, and he stomped off in embarrassment. Luke watched him leave, quietly laughing at his behavior. He didn't know what you had said to him, but it seemed you had caused him to throw quite a fit. Han was his friend, but he thought it was about time he realized not every girl could be won over by his teasing and shameless flirting.

"Come on Leia, we need to leave!" You argued. "Us pilots can't hold off the Empire forever! They know we're here and it's only a matter of time before they find us!"
"I know Y/N, I know." Leia replied. "We're trying to get off of this planet as soon as possible! But for now, we need pilots like you and Luke" she said, gesturing to her brother, "holding them off. It's the only way!"
"Alright, fine!" You said. "But if this continues any longer, I'm high-tailing it out of here! I'm not gonna stay around and get myself killed!" You began to stalk away, hoping to at least make some more adjustments to your ship before battle.
"Wait! Y/N!" Luke called, trying to catch up with you. You slowed down for a second, allowing Luke to match your pace. "What you did back there..." Luke started with admiration. "...was awesome. I would never be able to stand up to Leia like that! I don't know how you do it."
"Well..." You responded, still mainly focusing on getting to your ship. "Some people seem to forget what we're fighting for." Luke looked at you with confusion. "The people, Luke!" You stopped, resting a hand on your forehead. "The commanders often forget that those soldiers out there, they aren't just some...mindless droids! Each of us has a story...a family...a home. Our entire effort; the Rebellion's existence itself thrives on the effort of freeing the people controlled by the Empire! But how do they plan to get there? By ruining more lives?"
"Wow...." Luke said in deep thought. "I...I never thought about it that way, Y/N."
"Well it's about time you do."
You walked in silence for a while, finally arriving at your ship. You pulled out the small scooter you used for making repairs on the bottom of your ship, and laid back onto it, pushing yourself under it. You thought Luke had left, but he was still standing there, watching you work.
Luke looked around the room for a moment, suddenly spotting Han glaring at him. Han looked down at Y/N and then at Luke, shaking his head in unimpressment, almost mockingly. Luke frowned, and quickly spoke up.
"Uh...Y/N."
You jumped in surprise, almost hitting your head on your ship. "Oh...Luke! I didn't realize you were still here!" You rolled out from under your ship, standing up. "What's up?"
"Oh...uh..." Luke said, looking back at Han. He had moved closer listening to your conversation. "You have...oil...right there...." He pointed at your forehead, and you laughed, pulling at a cloth and wiping it off.
"Oops!"
You turned to go back to your ship but Luke grabbed your shoulder. "Wait!"
You looked back at him, raising your eyebrows.
"Umm..." Luke started. "I was wondering if...you'd want to go out sometime?"
"Seriously, Luke!" You said, glaring at him. "Is now really the time?!" You gestured to the rush around you as people prepared for battle.
"Oh, I uh..."
"Wait a minute!" You had spotted Han, and you stalked toward him, dragging Luke with you. He had been laughing at Luke's failure, but he went quiet and tried to back away from you in terror. "Not so fast!" You grabbed his arm too, and dragged the both of them to an empty area. You shoved them against the wall, getting up close to their faces. Luke's face went red and Han smirked as you began yelling at them. "I can't believe you two! Did he make you do this or something?!" You asked Luke. He opened his mouth to respond, but you cut him off. "Nevermind! I can already tell! I am so disappointed in you, Luke. I thought you actually cared about how I feel about the war effort! But no, I guess not!" Luke's face went pale, and Han began laughing at him. You suddenly turned to him, however, and his smile disappeared. "And you!" You shouted. Han gulped, he could almost see flames in your eyes. "You're just as bad, if not worse! Degrading me with your disgusting pickup lines, snooping on our conversation...you are one of the worst people I've ever met!" You backed away, catching your breath for a moment. The two men looked at each other, than at you, hoping your scolding was over. You looked, up and now your face had softened. "But focus on the war, you two. Like I said, it's about the people. And..." You leaned forward, kissing the both of them on the cheek. Their fear suddenly disappeared, and Luke and Han's eyes went glassy, and their mouths dropped open. "...I couldn't live with you two dead. So...take care of yourselves." And with that, you ran off to your ship, climbing inside.
Han and Luke watched you leave, not taking their eyes off of you. Then the both of them sighed simultaneously.
"I love that girl..."
