You were about nine or ten years old when you met your best friend.

Your older sister was Padme Amidala, Queen of Naboo. You were disguised as a handmaiden along with your sister when the both of you were captured by the Trade Federation. You were soon saved by two Jedi, and managed to escape in a starship. However, the ship's hyperdrive had suffered damage from the attack, and you were forced to land in a planet called Tatooine for repairs.

At first, your sister refused to let you come out of the ship, but you asked so much, she eventually said yes. You couldn't wait! You had never been anywhere except Naboo your whole life.

After coming to an area where dealers sold junk, your group chose a shop to look for parts.

A creature greeted your group, and began to speak in a language you couldn't understand. However the Jedi seemed to know what he was saying, and Qui-Gon Jinn answered him.

"I need parts for a J-type 327 Nubian."

Suddenly the creature switched to English. "Ah, yes. Ah yes. Nubian. We have lots of that. What kinda junk?" The shop-owner switched back to what he was speaking before, shouting.

A young boy about your age ran in. You were very curious. Why would a boy work in a shop at his age? He exchanged a few words with the shop-owner, and the creature turned back to the Jedi.

"Soo... let me take-a thee out back. You'll find what you need."

The two Jedi left leaving you, the boy, your sister, and Jar-Jar in the shop. You noticed the boy was staring at your sister and you raised an eyebrow, asking:

"Why are you staring at my sister like that?"

The little boy looked at you funny, like the answer was obvious.

"I think she's an angel." Stated the boy.

You skipped over to where he was sitting and sat next to him, inspecting your sister. Padme noticed how you two were looking at her; the boy, in awe, and you, in confusion. "What?" She asked.

"An angel." Replied the boy. "I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego I think. They are the most beautiful creatures in the universe. They are good and kind, and so pretty they make even the most hardened spice pirate cry."

"That does...sound like my sister." You agreed, nodding your head.

"I've never heard of angels." Padme stated.

"You must be one...you just don't know it." Answered the boy.

"You're a funny little boy." Said your sister, looking at him like he was the most adorable thing in the galaxy. "How do you know so much?"

"Since I was very little. Three, I think. My mom and I were sold to Gardulla the Hut but she lost us, betting on the podraces, to Watto, who's a lot better master than Gardulla, I think."

You frowned. "You're...a slave?"

Suddenly the boy looked at you in defiance. "I am a person! My name is Anakin."

"We're sorry." Apologized Padme. "We don't fully understand. This is a strange world to us." You nodded your head in agreement.

Anakin looked back and forth between the two of you. "You are strange girls to me."

It had been many years since then, and despite Anakin now training to become a Jedi, and you being Princess of Naboo, you and Anakin had become best friends. However, it wasn't long before you were separated, and many years had passed before you had seen him again.
