you & i [ON HOLD]

three - ella

"Hey dad!" ella yelled through the empty hallway. she shut the door behind her, making sure to lock it. she roamed through the quite large home, finding no one to greet.

'well, maybe they're all out.' she thought to herself. ella found herself in the kitchen, so she opened the fridge and dug around till she found some food that she would eat. finding nothing, she resorted to just having a smoothie. ella carefully took out the ingredients, knowing her mom would yell if she had left it messy. she placed it in the glass container and started making the smoothie. she poured it into a small cup and drank it.

after finishing, she ran her hand through her hair and ventured to the living room. she hopped on the couch and turned on supernatural. after an hour or two of watching, there was a small knock on the door.

"Coming!" she yelled, rushing to the door. she opened the door. the person on the other side shocked her. it was seth.

"Hey," seth scratched the back of his head.

"Uh, hi," ella smiled, inviting him in. seth sat on the couch as ella poured seth a glass of the smoothie she was having.

"Here you are," she offered him the smoothie. he looked up from his seat, smiled, and took the glass. ella took a seat next to him and asked why he was at her house.

"Just wanted to talk," seth responded, taking a sip of the drink. ella nodded in response. she leaned back on the couch and sighed.

she sat back up, "what did you want to talk about?" seth straightened up.

"There's this girl I like," seth turned to her, "she's pretty, smart, talented. I just don't know how to approach her."

ella nodded, "well, just talk to her. Tell her how you feel, get closer to her," ella shrugged, "who is she anyway?"

seth looked away, "oh, no one." ella sighed, leaning back.

"Well, I gotta go," seth smiled. ella nodded. she followed him to the door.

"Well, bye.." seth smiled. ella smiled a ghost of a smile. he walked out and she shut the door. ella sighed and slowly slid down the door. tears formed in her eyes and came out in small bundles. she sighed. she got back up and went to her room.

'ring' ella's head snapped at her phone. she dived for her phone and pressed answer without looking at the caller.

"Hello?" ella asked the caller.

"Ella! I need you to come over right now," Marina's excited voice came through the speaker.

ella thought she knew why.

but it was the opposite.
