I sighed, scratching the back of my head. She seemed so, off, today. Then, I thought about the smile she gave me before I left. I smiled at the thought. Her smile stood out compared to the other smiles I see. The other smiles although were so forced, she looked pained in the eyes. I just wanted to hug the hell out of her and tell her it was okay. I sighed and opened my phone. My favourite colour, blue, flashed before my eyes.
No messages.
I stretched, walking downstairs. I roamed the kitchen and found a box of doughnuts. I took one and devoured it. After my eating I went out to walk and saw Drea on the phone.
"That's pretty ace, Elsa." She laughed.
"Ace?" I snuck up behind her.
She jumped, "I'll call you later, mate." Drea looked up at me, her green eyes sparkling, "It's slang for awesome."
"Oh! Anyways, feeling better Shorty?"
She nodded, looking down. She quickly then looked up, smiled at me, and grabbed my hand. I looked down and smiled and when I looked back up, our eyes met. Drea blushed and turned her head away. I chuckled.
"Let's get something to eat." Andrea suggested, tugging at my hand. I nodded as we took off to Starbucks for a snack.
Once we arrived, she jumped excitedly and ran to the door. she swung it open and rushed to the line. I laughed. She quickly ordered and looked at me, "order, it's on me."
I shook my head, ordered, then looked back and slowly took my money out, "nope, it's on me."
She stuck her tongue out and frowned. "Whatever."
I looked at her, examining her features. Her eyes were a greyish, green. She had delicate features, and her dimples were more prominent when her smiles were genuine. I smiled.
"What?" She stared me in the eyes.
"Nothing," I smiled once more, looking away. She giggled and finished up her drink. We both stood up and we both went to grab my empty drink. Our hands collided as we locked eyes.
She looked away, "sorry, I just wanted to help." I looked at her and told her it was fine. Andrea smiled, pushing her hair behind her ear. Her kind eyes twinkling.
Twinkling like the moonlight.
