Yuko POV

that little "incident" with Danzo everyone left in the room was on edge. the Hokage did his best to hide it, simply puffing out another ring of smoke as he stared at the door his old teammate had just left through.

pulling myself out of my emotionally frozen state i looked carefully out the window to watch as Danzo and his Anbu disappear in the distance. Soon as i was sure that man had gone and was no longer in the building or anywhere near it, i allowed myself to slump in Pa's grip. Never in all my life had i ever thought i would be witness to so much power in one room.

eventually Pa shuffled around in an attempted to convince his body he no longer had to be on the defensive. however his grip on me said different as he neither let go or so much as loosened his hole on me. understanding what he needed i said nothing and desided that, for the first time sense i got here, i would simply cuddle with my father. it was a bit difficult to maneuver but after a few trys i managed to twist myself in a way to rest my head on Pa's beating heart and through my arms around his neck. this seemed to help not only me but him as well as his grip let up and he shifted me into a more comfortable position, still reluctant or refusing to let go of my small body just yet.

i stayed curled up as close as i could to him, finally allowing myself to do what my instinkes have been telling me to do for the past half hour or so. my body began to shake, it was to be expected, because for all the hard life ive had and all the scars ive acquired THAT was my first time in the presence of killing intent. and it was much more than nearly any ninja, including pa, had ever been introduced to.

The head of a powerful devision of Anbu and the Hokage just had a Killing intent match up and I was cowering into my father afterwards. My day had gone so well, good day at school, dinner with the Naras, the fawn, and even had a actual conversation with Shika... I knew it couldn't last.

Lord hokage stood up and walked over to us. Placing a hand in my head to get my attention I turned my head a bit but kept it on Pa's shoulder as he told both me and pa. "Now that was enough excitment for one night, why don't you to go home" Pa was about to protest when the old man silenced him. "Ibiki look at her, she's terrified and needs to go home. Get a good night's sleep, because it doesn't look like she's going to let you go anytime soon." He nodded at my position and he wasn't wrong "go home!!" .

With one last nod we left, me still wrapped in his arms. "Come on Yuko, Idate will be asleep by now after a long day of missions. It's already late"

I made a sound of acnolagment, before looking up at him "hey pa"

"What is it kid" he grunted out being gentler than usual and not calling me brat or squirt.

"Can i-" I paused but continued " can I stay with you tonight?" He looked down at me for a second.

Then he sighed "normally I'd tell you that killing intent is normal in the ninja world and you would soo get used to it" I looked down "However..." he breathed "that was a bit extreme, expecially for your first experience. I even had a hard time with it, so just this once alright. Then no special treatment"

And so I nodded and began to drift off to sleep.

The next day at school

I walk into class and sat down on the desk in front of Choji and Shika. "Hey don't you have to sit by the class heart throb? " choji asked blinking

"Yes but he's not here yet so I can talk to you
for a while" I shrugged it off.

To my surprise choji seemed more informed than shikamaru did "Pa got back from a mission late last night. He said somthing about the hokages asking him to make sure you were ok during dinner today. What the heck happened?"

This snapped the previously sleeping Nara into attention when I didn't automatically deny it. "Um it's nothing really. Things just got a bit intence yesterday after I left dinner. Some guy named Danzo came in and started yelling at the hokage. It escalated and freaked me out a bit that's all"

"Wow it must have been bad for it to get to even you"

"It was more than that.. it affected Pa too"

Shika's jaw dropped well choji seemed to be thinking "him too ? No wonder you look shaken "

"You can tell?" He nodded at me letting me know it was obvious.

"Pa mentioned something about Danzo once" choji added in looking confused "I don't remember edzactly what but he didn't seem to like him"

"To be honest I didn't eather." I shivered "he held so much power to him by just walking in the room. It was unnatural"

"Wow" was all the boys had to say

"Ya, one of his 'escorts'" I put emphases on escort . "Tryed to grab me. That ticked pa off and only added to the chaos."

"Seriously?"

"No way"

I nodded a bit not wanting to go any deeper into that situation. And thankfully I was saved by sasuke walking in the door followed closely by his pack of fangirls. I had never been so happy to see pretty boy.. ever.
So I took my place beside him and walked with him over to the seat. Soon the girls scattered and simply stareing at him from a distance and not upclose.

No one seemed to note my unrest besides shikamaru. Well sasuke kept glancing at me throughout the day but if he said anything I wasn't paying attention.

Well I thought to myself at least I get to hang out at Choji's when this is all over.

3rd POV

Little did our favorite Morino know, at that very moment she was being carfully spied on by highly skilled Root ninja.

And conspiracies began to fly around the ever so reliable ninja rumor system about her conseption. And that Ino would soon become heavily involved in this research as a part of the Yaminaka family who seems her the most and can relay details about her behavior, or storys she tells her friends.

For once she will have good reasoning to complain about Yuko sitting beside her presious Sasuke-kun! And her father would be given no choice but to listen if he wanted aby information on the orenge haired little girl.
