Emergency

Sorry for the extremely  late update, With school back in i have pretty much isolated myself with only homework for company. When I'm not studying to keep up in class I have been writing another fanfic (that i haven't posted because i am determined that this will be my masterpiece)  or helping my friends with their school work. 

Anyway enjoy this chapter!

      life in the village was  same as ever, i go to the academy, sit by Sasuke, hang out with Choji and Shikamaru, go home and spend time with family. I have never been happier, Idate and I have been hanging out a lot more now, now laughing about the hot spring incident 3 months ago and seeing it as a bonding experience.  

     I was hanging around the oak tree waiting for my brother to show up  like usual, every day I meet him here and we  walk home together. This originally started out because he was all depressed about failing the Chunin exams, and refused to come home because Pa was the Procter who failed him. I tracked him down and found him sitting here sulking in the poring rain, and eventually dragged him home. If he had wanted he could have prevented me from doing so but sense I'm the Imoto he gave in and went home.

He's still sulking, but as long as i am here to drag him home he hasn't done anything stupid. 

Just then Idate showed  up with a skip in his step and a  smile on his face. I blinked in confusion he hasn't been this happy in a while, its almost like  he back to normal.  I though while watching him come closer.  i guess thats a good thing. "Nii-san, you seem like your feeling better whats going on."

"Your not going to believe this Imoto! "he shouted in my face "Aoi-sensei said that he had a special mission for me and if i can do it I'm getting a promotion!"

"Your right" i began "i don't believe it! " I've never heard of a way to become a chunin without the exams, besides ... "Wait a minute.. are you, trying to get a field promotion" he nodded "those haven't been given out sense the war ended!"

"I know but apparently this is super secret stuff so normal rules don't apply." he said in a  rush "I've got too go, the sooner i start the sooner i get promoted! tell big brother where i am I don't know how long i will be gone so don't wait up for me!"

time skip

It has been about 2 days sense Idate  went on his "secret mission" and Pa got called in for an emergency this morning. I'm not sure what it was but The messenger seemed pretty panicked.  

Humming as i drummed my fingers on my desk as I zoned out what Iruka was saying. occasionally stealing a chip from choji as it was my day to sit with them and not sasuke.  well that was how things were going until what looked like a medical ninja burst threw the classroom door. "My apologies Iruka-san, for interrupting." she bowed

"Na-san it's alright, how may i help you?"

"I need  to borrow Morino-chan for the rest of the day!" This caught my attention. 

"Wait" I stood up "whats going on, d-did something happen?"

she sighed, seeing how I probably wasn't going to leave quietly unless I got an answer, as a sad look came across her face. "I'm sorry Morino-chan, you father just returned from his emergency mission, he's... in bad shape" she didn't get to finish before I was at the door.

"You coming?" I asked her glare firm in place.

"W-what?" She stuttered out wide eyed.

"Your a ninja arn't you?" I didn't wait for her to respond before adding "than you can do that tellaport thing, I can't yet but you can." I let my eyes go dark "So you had better get me to my Pa stat or you'll have made an enemy out of the entire Torcher and Interigation Division."

"N-now Yuko-chan!" Iruka attempted to step in "I'm sure the medical corps ar-"

"Shut it sensei " I growled baring my teat, my scar becoming much more vivid. "My Pa Is hurt and you are NOT going to calm me down til I see him. Now..." I turned back to the terrified nurse "get me to my Pa or suffer from a very cranky Morino."

"B-but the H-hokage said t-to bring y-  you..."

My glare stoped and shadows dropped over my eyes, my bangs falling out of my crooked pigtails. "Pa first, I'll see the old man once I know he is safe you got that lady!"

With a panicked nodded a small squeek she grabbed my arm and transported us away.

Thankfully she was smart enough to tellaport me directly outside my father's surgery room and not just into the hospital. "y-you'll have t-to wait here till the surgery Is done." And promptly poofs away before I can protest.

Pacing back and forth across the room mind wandering, only occasionally glancing at the door waiting for them to come out and tell me he was ok. At Some point  I became aware of sturdy hands being placed on my shoulder in an attempt to steer me out. However I simply shrugged them off and continued with my pacing, never bothering to look back at who it was.

Hours later I yawned and was drawn back out of my mind by a voice to my side. "You should rest, it's bad to stay awake so long at your age."

Turning to the side I caught sight of Choza Akamichi (sp?). "I've been through worse..." I trailed off realizing how dry my voice sounded, only just realizing how thirsty I was.

"Ahh so your responding again!" He clapped his hands happily as I tilted my head in confusion. "we have been talking to you for hours now with no response."

"We?" I blinked confused as I continued my pacing, knowing if I stopped my legs may give out from under me.

"Yes, myself ,Choji, my wife, and the Nara's. Even Inoichi and his daughter showed up looking a bit worried. " looking out the window as I passed I saw it was dark, probably about three in the morning. "Shikaku, Inoichi and I have been taking shifts sitting here trying to get your attention. Lord Hokage was here for a while but when it became clear that you weren't hearing us he left."

I nodded "I'll be sure to see him once Pa's ok".

Choza got this look on his face that I couldn't quite read. "Yuko?  The Yamanaka specialize in the mind... most people don't completely zone out like that, you where just pacing like that for hours unaware of the world" the grown man shifted forward a bit "Inoichi said that it may be a side affect of some.... how do I put this... past trama."

Freezing I took a deep breath, "ya, I figured something like that..." however it seemed I had stood still for too long. My knees buckling under me as I struggled to stay up right.  Choza was at my side at ninja speeds you wouldn't expect from such a Heavy set man.

"Why don't you sit down Yu-chan," he said leading me unsteadily over to the bench. I silently thanked him for allowing me to get there under my own power, though leaning heavily against him, allowing me my pride. "I must say I'm impressed at your stamina. Most children your age wouldn't be able to continually move for more than a few hours.  You've been at this all night and only just now give out."

I nodded but said nothing. Thankfully I was saved from farther questioning as a blond I reconized as Ino's father came walking in with tierd looking eye.
