There staring in my face apparently was, Cody, then Josh magically disappeared from my mind.
“Hi, how are you?” the mother asked,
“I’m fine and you?” my mum asked.
“Oh we are doing just fine, it’s been a really long time since somebody lived here, we are just so happy!” the father put his arm around his wife.
“Oh, and who is this, is this Cody?” my mother asked, she turned around and raised an eyebrow, showing me that I better not go to far.
“Yes, hi mam, I am Cody, Cody Satire,” he smiled the most beautiful smile, way better than Josh’s, I was tongue tied.
“Hi, Cody,” I said.
“Hi,”
“Well, don’t just stand there, come on in, Maria I will show you around and my husband will show you around bob, you know all the man stuff,” my mum said.
“Hey there, how are you!” my father hugged Bob, he was equally surprised to see my dad as well.
“Fine, it’s been a long time champ!” they walked off again, leaving me and Cody alone. We finally broke the silence when he asked me what my name was.
“My name is Selena,”
“Cool, so how long you are living here?” he asked.
It was so hard to resist him, he was fair, blue eyes and slim and had golden brown hair.
“Which school!” I shouted then realised I said something wrong.
“Um...I go to Whitakers high, you?”
“I go to South West, unfortunately,” I sighed.
“Yeah, that school, stinks, I mean all the kids are delinquents, not you right?” he asked laughing.
I felt weak, that laugh was so cute!
“No, I am not, so how old are you?”
“15, can I come in?” he asked.
I was so caught up in talking to him that I didn’t even realise that he was still standing outside.
“Sure, sorry, I got lost.....” I blocked my mouth.
“You’re an over sharer, sometimes like me, your house is really cool,” he said looking around.
“Yeah, at least you like it, there’s this neighbour of mine, Jessica, she’s really mean,”
“She’s my girlfriend, we just met in Feb,” he smiled at me.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to, you have a girlfriend? Damn!”
“Um....” he said.
I was over sharing again, why why why! Did he have to have a girlfriend and of all people Cody!!! What, this girl wants all the boys I like?
“Sorry, I just, never mind, I thought she was with Josh?”
“They broke up, and then I moved in here in December and that’s when we became friends,”
“Oh, any chance I would make friends?”
“Yeah, lot’s of people here are friendly, except when they have a grudge on you,”
“Oh, good to know,”
“Well, I could be your friend, there are some friendly people not all are bad,”
“Thanks, I still don’t know this town yet,”
“Well maybe tomorrow I could show you around and you could know it better,”
