My heels clattered across the marble floor as I walked hurriedly, afraid the queen mean would pass by, and guess what there she was chatting with some boys and girls.
“Hi, how are you?” she turned in my direction. I stopped and suddenly all the students that were talking stopped and stared at me. I turned bravely around.
“Fine and you?”
“I am alright,” she looked me up and down.
I waited for something horrible to happen, like she would pull down my pants or trip me, or for that matter stick the bubble gum she was chewing rapidly on my forehead, instead she just gave me a warm smile.
I returned it and quickly ran into the class. Why was she being so nice to me? What did I do, break up with Josh? Were we even dating? I peeked round the corner of the classroom and saw them still chatting normally and then Jessica finally whispered, I couldn’t really she her face, but her voice was clear enough.
“So, that little twirp we saw, she’s gonna pay for what she did,”
“Pay?” another voice rang.
“Yes, she was all over Josh and now she is going out with my boyfriend Cody and he actually cancelled our dinner date last night because he wanted to go out with her,”
A few gasps went around and I felt warm because Cody liked me enough to cancel his date with Jessica and I also felt a little scared, because all the kids were gasping, was it that bad?
“I am just going to stick to my plan, hey....CAN YOU SEE THAT? SOMEONE IS PEEPING FROM THE DOOR!”
