I felt like a minion of Jessica and I knew exactly why, I wanted Josh for myself, definitely, one hundred percent. Cody was cute but there was no way I could get him for myself, just look at how she was behaving with her ex imagine if I were to date Cody. Never mind, my evilness spread through all over my body.
I phoned Cat that afternoon when Josh picked up the phone.
“Hi,”
“Can I speak to Cat?”
“no, she’s not here and she’s upset,”
“Okay, tell her I called,”
“Sure, hey, Selena? What happened with you and Cody, are you guys serious,”
“No, hey what do you say we all go on a double date, me.....Larry (I barfed a little when I said that) and Cat, you”
“Sure, that would be awesome,”
“Cool, so it’s set for Saturday.”
“Bye, and am I relieved your are not going out with Cody,”
“Why, what’s it to you?”
“nothing, we’re friends right?”
“Yeah, I guess,”
“Oh, well you know friends look out for each other,”
“Yeah, sure,”
“bye, see you on Saturday,”
The whole week was a blur, I was distracted and tried to make a plan to break up Josh and Cat, she didn’t want to speak to me and was all lovey dovey with Josh and it sickened me, a little bit of me wanted to be with Josh.
“Hey, you got rid of them?”
“no, Jessica,” I plopped myself down lunch at the lunch table.
“You better sort her out of Jessica is going to get really mad and you don’t want her to get mad,” Amanda tied up her hair.
“Chill, I’ll sort her out,” I was shocked at the way I was so comfortable with them now.
“We’ll sit with you at lunch today cause you’re on our side,”
“Okay,” I opened up my pudding.
“So, how are you going to do it?” a blonde girl asked.
“well, um....who are you?”
“I am Jessica’s friend Sarah,”
“Nice to meet you, well I don’t really know yet but my nerves are working all the time on the last string cause of Cat and how she carries on for herself.”
“Yeah, they really look in love...” Amanda was about to say but Jessica stopped her.
“No, shut up! We all know Josh loves me,”
“Yeah totally, right Amanda,” Sarah nudged her.
“Sure,” she looked the other way.
“I have to go, see you,” I picked up my bag and walked off, I could feel their eyes on me.
That night I sat on my bed and pondered why I was becoming like Jessica Amanda and Sarah and then an evil thought popped into my head, I head Josh first and so, I must get him back by becoming a mean girl. I woke up from my bed and at that moment, my father walked into my room.
“Honey, you’ve been up late for the past few nights, something troubling you?”
“No dad, I’m fine,” I threw my picture of Cat and me on the bed.
“Having friendship troubles?”
“No, in fact tomorrow I won’t be here, I’m going,”
“Where?” he raised an eyebrow and leaned on my door.
“Out, with friends,”
“Awesome,” I hated when my parents started to bring themselves down to our level.
“So, dad, I’m about to hit the shower so if you mind?”
“Yeah, sorry,” he walked out with a cheeky grin on his face.
The next morning I was so excited that I nearly choke on my toast.
“In a hurry dear?” my father peeped out from his newspaper.
“Oh, bob, leave her alone, I am going with her to do some shopping in the mall,” my mother said.
Hannah came downstairs her hair all done up and wearing some cute high heels.
“Hi, morning mum, dad,”
“And you?” dad asked.
“BOB!” my mother shouted and made us giggle.
The mall was packed and when I mean packed I mean really packed.
“Hey, where do you want to go?” I asked my mum.
“I’m off to hit the shops and you two can go off and buy clothes for your date, here’s $15,00.
“Whoa, that’s a lot of money mom,”
“Yeah,”
“It’ll be enough,” she ran into the crowds.
“Why did mum say our dates?”
“She let me go out as well, she finally realised,”
“What?”
“That I am mature enough,” Hannah took the money and trotted off.
We walked into a store that had the name GUCCI written on the window pane, inside the shop was two floors. As soon as I walked in a friendly saleslady approached us.
“Hey, welcome to GUCCI the place that makes you more fabulous than before,” she smiled widely revealing her enormous teeth.
“You just opened?”
“Yeah,”
“Wow, it’s really nice,”
“Thank you,”
“So....”
“I need help, I need kind of a......” Hannah carried on with her conversation while I just looked around, there was so much of nice clothes that I couldn’t choose, I had to wear something cute, because I was going to impress Josh.
Suddenly a ringing in my pocket disturbed me. I walked up to the second floor and ran into a fitting room.
“Hello,”
“It’s so noisy where the hek are you?” I heard Jessica’s mean girl voice ring through my phone.
“I am in the mall getting some clothes for the date,”
“Yeah well pick something cute but not revealing, you don’t want a bad rumour about those hideous legs of yours,”
“WHAT?”
“I’m trying to help, hairy hooligan,”
“fine, I got to go someone is knocking on the door,”
“Door?”
“I’m in a fitting room, do the math!” I put down the phone and opened the curtain
“I’m sorry, I thought my mum was in here,”
“Sorry,” I closed the curtain and blushed.
