“Hey,” Jessica ran idly towards me and shouted, “THEY BROKE UP!”

“Broke up?” I dropped my bag and opened my locker.

“Yeah, thank you so much, who knew you had so much bad in you?” she said, she couldn’t resist and finally hugged me.

“Oh, that’s so cool, oh and our place by the cafeteria is being renovated, where are we going to sit?” I asked.

“Oh, about that, we kind of kicking you out of the group,” she smiled.

“Kicking me out? I got Cat and Josh to break up and now you are kicking me out?” I asked angrily, I had enough of my mum already and didn’t want to deal with this drama.

“Yes, of course, if you want to join we have to be really close, you didn’t think we were friends forever right?” she asked, smiled and walked away.

I stood there like a total fool and continued to take out my books for biology and then Amanda walked up to me. She was wearing a cute mini skirt and a tank top.

“Oh, well,” Amanda said.

“Please, I don’t need another drama queen” I said.

“No, I want to apologise for her, she’s being mean lately, maybe now that she has that stupid Josh...”

“You like Josh don’t you?” I asked.

“How did you know?” she blushed.

“Well, I see things that are obvious,”

“Please don’t tell her, she’ll kill me,”

“Sure, thanks by the way for saying sorry,”  I said.

“That word will never come out of her mouth, bye, I have to run, if she sees me talking to you she’ll kill me, double time,”

‘Wait, you know you can have Josh?”

“What? No, please don’t get involved she will literally kill me if she found out,” then and there I found out that Amanda had a british accent.

“You british?” I asked.

“Yeah, but I have been in California some time now,” she said.

“Well, do you know Drake?”

“Drake hill?” she asked again with a full swing of her accent.

“Yeah him,”

“He’s my brother, why do you know him?” she asked.

“Yeah, we went out once and he really was in love with me, boy did I turn him down,” I laughed and then realised I was talking to his sister, “I mean no offence.”

“None taken, but you do know that he has a girlfriend,”

“Really wow, but he asked me to be his....”

“Well, I hope he was joking I am so disappointed in him,” she sighed, “thanks for telling me.”

“Oh really, what’s her name?” I asked, curious to find out, I slung my bag over my shoulder and started walking to class with Amanda, since she and I had shared the same class, thank God, Jessica wasn’t in there.

“Don’t know,” she said.

“Don’t know?” I asked and then turned around to see Josh who was walking towards us.

“Oh, should I leave you two alone,” I asked and started to walk away.

“He’s coming to talk to you,” she walked off and plopped her books on her desk and sat down staring ahead.

“Um..hey,” I said looking at Josh.

“Hey, I was worried you didn’t talk to me and I thought you were angry,” he said looking down, did I mention he was cute when he did that?

“No, my mother took away my phone, so annoying,” I laughed.

“Yeah, they are but sometimes they do things because they love you and not because they made a mistake and maybe they only care for you and nobody else,” he said, looking into my eyes.

He made me quiver and now the whole class was staring. I took him outside.

“Josh, this is a mistake, I can’t be with you,” I said.

“Why not? I broke up with Cat?” he said.

“No, I know you loved her,” I said almost in tears, “and I cant believe that you broke up with my best friend for me and I think it’s pathetic,” I said.

“Well, maybe this will change your mind,” he pulled me against him and kissed me, just then Amanda walked out.

“Hey, Mrs Jefferson wants you two in......” she stopped.

“I’m sorry,” I said and walked into class. She shot me a drop dead look.

“What are you doing, it’s against school rules to show physical contact with the opposite sex,” said Amanda.

“Sorry, babe, but you know you can forgive me right?” he put his arm around his shoulder.

Oh my god, of course I almost forgot, he was such a player, he was schmoozing Amanda. I sighed as I sat down in my place and opened my book.

“Why are you late?” my teacher eyed me.

“It was a mistake mam, it won’t happen again,” I said.
