Bible Reading: Psalm 37:21-31
Foundational Verse:
- Psalm 37:24 "Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
Rhema Word:
- No one is more secure than the one who is held in God's hand.
Messages:
- Psalm 37:21 "The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers."
- No one is more secure than the one who is held in God's hand.
- The Creator of the universe not only upholds us and helps us but He also cares deeply about every moment we live.
- The Lord GOD delights in every detail of our lives.
- The blessing of the Lord is not just spiritual and future; David says it is here and now and he has seen it.
Promises:
- Psalm 37:22 "Those the Lord blesses will possess the land."
- Psalm 37:23-24 "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand."
- Psalm 37:28 "For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly."
- Psalm 37:29 "He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die. The godly will possess the land and will live there forever."
- 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
Commands:
- Psalm 37:27 "Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever."
- Psalm 37:30 "Offer good counsel and teach right from wrong."
- The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.
Warnings:
- Psalm 37:22 "Those he curses will die."
- Psalm 37:29 "The children of the wicked will die."
Applications:
Loving Father, thank You that every part of my life matters to You.
Even the smallest details You are concerned.
Encourage me in my struggles so that I might walk in a way that reflects Your great love and honors Your great name.
You just reminded me today that whatever challenges and problems I encounter You are always there to guide me.
Whatever I do I must ask for guidance on You Father.
That You may shower me knowledge and wisdom to overcome.
To hold my hand even if I fail and stumble.
It is only in your hands that I can feel the security and peace of mind.
I will plant Your law and gospels in my heart in a way that I can't forget so that I can walk in the right path going to You.
The path where only YOU are highly exalted and glorified.
