Sword Art Online: Rose.

Chapter 1: A New Beginning!

Valkyrie Rose swiftly jumps onto her bed and pulls the nerve gear over her waist length midnight black hair with purple tint at the end. Her violet eyes glisten with excitement as she yells the starting sequence for all to hear!

"Link Start!" she yells, watching as a multitude of lights move across her vision and finding herself standing in the town of beginnings once again.

The beta for sword art online had been the best thing Valkyrie has ever known. She had never even stopped playing for a second, promising to be the best, a promise which she fulfilled. The other two hundred and ninety nine beta testers had not even come close to the level of skill Valkyrie has and now that she has carried over her avatar, Valkyrie looks down at her black trench coat and boots, noticing her black shorts are now denim. The long black sword at her side glistens under the burning sky.

"It is so good to be back" she giggles happily, running out of the town gate to continue her leveling up journey.

In the distance, Valkyrie spots two players, training against a boar in a sea of bright green grass. The black haired swordsman must be an experienced player and is teaching the red haired player the ropes. How nice of him. Sneaking up behind them, Valkyrie yells "boo" and watches them squeal like kids.

"God you should see your faces right now" Valkyrie laughs, her face covered by the hood on her cape, pointing at the shocked face on a boy names kirito.

"Wow they improved the sneaking clearly" kirito, the black haired one smiles at Valkyrie.

"Hi there kirito, I'm Valkyrie, a beta tester" she smiles, holding her hand out towards him to shake.

"Hi, as you know my names kirito and this is ball-erm I mean Kleinn" Kirito gestures to the redhead next to him, shaking her hand casually.

The man named Kleinn has literal hearts in his eyes as he bolts towards Valkyrie, a huge smile on his face, "This bodes unwell" Aria mutters to herself.

"Hello, Valkyrie-Chan, why don't you give me your number so we can hook up some time" Kleinn says, clearly expecting a mature person, not the thirteen year old Valkyrie.

Valkyrie sighs, refusing to shake the hand of such a despicable male. Who knows where those hands have been? Valkyrie listens to Kleinn mutter something about a pizza man pulling him away from his precious Valkyrie-Chan. Valkyrie sends Kirito a friend request and walks away, shrinking further into her cloak only to hear something stupid.

"Hey Kirito, total noob question here but how do i logout?" Kleinn asks Kirito honestly curious, causing Valkyrie to sweatdrop.

"Right here...." Kirito starts but stops when he is unable to find the logout button.

Valkyrie checks the menu out of curiosity. "So that's your game Kayaba" she murmurs, realizing his true game is where he plays as a god.

As if on que, the entire populace of Sword Art Online was teleported to the main plaza to see the god himself, giving a speech about how he intentionally left out the logout button and any attempt to leave the system will kill you.

"I accept your challenge, Kayaba" Valkyrie laughs hysterically, vowing from this point on to defeat this death game.

After hearing Valkyries declaration of war, everybody goes silent as they watch the stare down between Kayaba and the hooded swordswoman.

"We shall see, little Valkyrie" he smiles warmly, informing everyone about a special gift he has delivered in everybody's inventories.

Valkyrie opens the menu and opens the gift from Kayaba, a mirror? Just as Valkyrie is about to throw it away, a flash erupts around her and her once tall avatar is now only her usual four foot nine size with a perfect shape. Pulling the hood closer around her face she curses and starts to rush away, concealing her small frame in the crowd, heading for the exit to rack up the X.P and rewards before the other people here can act. 

"Wait" a boy shouts to her from behind. Its Kirito. "We should probably work together and maybe we might actually survive this death game" he invites Valkyrie to a party, which she immediately declines. 

"Sorry, but I'm more of a solo player, i get things done quicker that way" she smiles at him, turning and running away before he gets the chance to argue, covering the worried look on her face.  "What have I gotten myself into" she sighs to herself.
