Chapter 8: luck, Legend or Lies!

Valkyries pov:
I have been stuck in this cell. Raze had already forced open my menu and disabled my damage stopper, allowing me to feel every single piece of pain he inflicts upon me. The constant waterboarding, knife cuts, beatings, delirious potions and pain spells inflicted on me have been driving me insane. I dont know how much longer my mind can stay intact.

"Im starting to lose sight of who I am" I murmur quietly, the opening of my mouth causing pain due to Raze carving a smile onto my face.

"Come on, little Rose, do not go losing that cute little mind just yet sweety, the pains only just starting!" he laughs with hideous glee, reminding me of the joker from batman.

"Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall" I continue to murmur derusionally, my head bopping sideways and up and down. My mind is turning blank and dark thoughts are creeping up on me.

A look of annoyance crosses Razes face, clearly unhappy at my mind finally breaking. "I thought you would be funner than this, I want to hear more of your screams!" he yells at the roof in anger, walking towards me and undoing my bindings, clearly not anticipating the broken girl to fight back.

I smirk a little, headbutting him clean in the face, twirling around him, biting my lip to block away the pain from my broken body, smashing his head against the arm of the wooden chair I was just tied to.

"Humpty Dumpty had a great fall" I giggle to myself as he slumps to the floor, consciousness losing him.

I gather my belongs and turn to the door, exiting without another word. That escappppe was prettier than the last.

Flashback once more:
The dark room I was being held in scared me. My spirit has been broken, the masses of scars and burns have retreated to the back of my mind, becoming more of a dull ache than pain now. Sanity has left me. I scan the room around me, noting the surgical scalpal on the table close by. My now purple eyes flash and the scalpal floats into my hand. I smirk to myself, freeing my arms and gazing around the lab again, it looks like a military base.

"time to leave, but first lets have some fun" I smile in glee at that, walking to the door and walking into the hallway. Four soldiers are patroling the hall, I wave like a cute child, hiding the scalpal behind my back.

"Restrain the experiment quickly!" the head man yells to his men, running towards me.

My smile grows as I watch the first one approach, I stab the scalpal into his neck as he leans down to grab me and I use my newfound telekinisis powers to freeze the others, slitting each of their throats, blood spraying over me, redding my pink hospital gown.

After wandering and killing everyone I found I come accross an experiment file. The file states that this is a project to create super human soldiers out of young children, sending them into enemey territory and killing the enemey swiftly. This surprises me, Raze clearly thought that I was a failed experiment, the only result was my eye change. Now here I am lifting things with my mind, killing everyone in sight.

"Well this outcome is hunky dory" I giggle hysterically, exiting the lab and going into hiding.

End of flashback.

Once I get out of the torture room, I use one of the teleport crystals to go to my secondary house in floor one, a small apartment type building. I dump myself on the bed and unconsciously stroke my eye, surpressing the memories pretty quickly.

After a long nap, I awaken and decide to explore the streets of the town, eating a sandwhich I made this morning, singing "ghost assasin" to myself, it reminds me all to well of the past.

"Please stop, they are just children" a ladies voice yells from around the next turn. I hurry up a little and turn around the corner in time to see four members of the Aincrad Army harrassing a group of children and a kind looking lady.

I casually walk forward, just as one of the men was about to slap the lady, I grab his hand and twist it around his back, kicking him to the ground, using a metal post I find on the ground, I knock the other men out, escorting the children to an old battered looking church building, I remember hearing that this is an orphanage for children abandoned in Aincrad.

"Arigato, Nee-chan" a little girl smiles up at me.

A genuine smile reaches my face and I look at her happily.

"No, thankyou" I give her a closed eyed smile before entering their home.
