Before I begin this chapter, I wanted you to know that Micah's name is pronounced Me-cah. Just wanted to clear the air on that.

We get to the theatre about 30 minutes later. People were getting out of their cars and walking to the entrance by the thousands. "We won't be able to get in." Ethan states as I park the car. "Yes we will, so stop stressing. " I say, getting out of the car. Ethan follows and catches up next to me. I walk to the back of the building and I feel Ethan tense up. I look back at him through the darkness and give him a reassuring smile. He returns it and we're by the back door in seconds. Since I used to come here on Halloween, I had to figure a way to get in without standing in line. I made great friends with the guard who guarded this door and we came up with a code so no one else but me could get in. I knock on the door three times and it opens shortly.

"Micah! Buddy, long time no see. How's the wife?" I say as he smiles and picks me up into a hug. Micha sits me down and looks at Ethan. " Who's this kid, Har?" He asks, deepening his voice. I try not to laugh but a smile escapes my lips and I hide it before anyone can notice. "Uh, this is Ethan. He's a-a friend of mine." I sputter out. Micah looked at me and back at Ethan before grinning. "Welcome here, Ethan. My name is Micah Weinstein." Micah says, stretching a hand out to Ethan. He shakes it firmly and smiles at him. "I'm Ethan Frazier." He tells him. " Gosh Quinny, it's been a year since I've seen you last." Micah looks down at me. "I know, I swear you were shorter." I say, putting a finger to my chin. We laugh and Ethan looks at us awkwardly. "Um, is my mom in the dressing room?" Micah looks at me. "Yeah. She's pretty mad, though." "Why?" "They can't find someone to be Janet Weiss." He scoffs. "Oh, okay." I say smiling and grabbing Ethan's arm. "Oh, and Melanie is fine!" He yells, referring to his wife Melanie who always plays Columbia. My mom on the other hand got the role that I love. She played Magenta, whilst my dad played her brother, Riff Raff.

We walk into the dressing room and everyone is moving around, putting on make-up and wigs and some even putting on clothes. I scan the busy- bodies for my mother and find her putting on her mini top hat. She sees me and runs up to hug me. "Darling, I'm so happy to see you. Did you change your mind about the party and decide to be our Janet Weiss?" She asks off the bat. I nod my head. She squeals and my dad appears with a hunch on his back and pale make- up all over his face. "Hey, Quinn. Who's this?" He asks immediately. "This is Ethan. Dad can I see your phone real quickly." I say, trying to get off the question. "Oh, Ethan. We heard a lot of things about you." my mom smiles warmly at him. I roll my eyes. "Mom, Dad, phone." I remind them. My dad drags me to his dressing table and pulls out his phone. " Thank you." I say and he walks off to Karen, the director. I dial Carolyn's number and after several rings, someone answers.

" Hello?" Carolyn says sweetly. "Carolyn, it's Harley. Can you guys come to the community theatre? I'm about to perform." "You left us?" "It's a long story. Can you come?" " Yeah, sure."

"Great. Come through the back door and knock three times. Say your with Quinny." I say and hear laughter in the background. " Ok, bye." Carolyn hangs up and I sit the phone back on the dresser.

"He is a cutie." A voice spooks me and the phone falls from the corner of the dresser. A hand with black nail polish catches it just before it hits the ground. "How many times have I told you to never show your fear?" My mother says. I roll my eyes and begin taking of my scarf/headband . "If you show fear," my mother starts. "Your opponent will know you fear them and have an advantage on striking me, I know." I finish the sentence. She grabs a costume off the clothes rack that was next to us. "You gotta get ready. Show starts in 20 minutes." She says quietly.

I start stripping my body of my Esmerelda costume and get into my Janet Weiss costume, which was basically an old lady's church outfit. I had a powder pink, knee- high dress on with a white sweater and 2 inch heels on. Thank God my hair was naturally curly, because I did not feel like having heat applied to it. "Okay, question time." my mom says as she's putting on my make-up. "Are you asking me about Ethan?" I ask, running my hands down smoothing my dress out. "You know it. Ready?" "Let's do this."
