Recap:

I rolled my eyes and walked out the house. After months of anxiety and a little tough fucker behind a computer screen hidden by some shit email running my life, they'd finally get what was coming to them. Now, it's been a while since I was in a fight with someone but I still remember the basics and my plan was to hit first, ask questions later. I pulled up to the driveway and took a deep breath. I rang the doorbell.

"Coming!"

No. That voice almost sounded like---

"Alex! What are you doing here? How'd you get my address? Where's Cam?"

"Hi, Mary-Jane. We need to talk."

***************************************

I didn't know how to start. Mary-Jane just stared at me in confusion as I stood with my mouth agape in front of her door. I mean just because Mary-Jane was the one that opened the door doesn't mean it was her. Maybe she was babysitting or--who was I kidding? "Can I come in?" I asked, my voice was shaking and I could feel my blood boiling. Calm yourself, Alex.

"Sure. Is this about the wedding?" she asked stepping out the way and giving me a smile, "We could've talked about this over the phone."

"No we couldn't talk about this over the phone. I'm going to cut to the chase here. What the fuck?"

"Alexandra! I--"

"No. No. Don't 'Alexandra' me. Let me finish: You don't have the fucking right. Please tell me why you think it's ok to go around stalking people, taking pictures, and blackmailing them?" my tone dropped dangerously low and I took a step toward Mary-Jane. She took a step back.

"Alex I don't know what you're talking about and you're scaring me." my eyes darted around the room.

"Oh now you're scared of me! You weren't so scared behind your computer, what happened?"

"Alex I don't know--"

"Goddammit," I screamed, "I swear to fucking God--"

"Ok! Ok! I had to send those emails Alex, you were drifting down the wrong path and--" she paused and I took a seat on her sofa, crossing my legs and folding my hands together. My eyes widened in complete innocence as I willed her to go on. She sighed:

"It all happened so fast. I had just left this cute little boutique when I looked across the street and I saw you leave this cafe shop with this man. I was going to call out to say hello when you got in his limo and started driving away. I got in my car and started following you, I guess my curosity got the best of me. From the back window I could see you two engaged in scandelous activities so I took a picture. I didn't know what to do with it. I wasn't going to tell Cam, he'd be crushed--" I cringed at her tone, "--so I decided to scare out the relationship. After I sent that first email I contacted someone to follow you for me. I also hired him to hide my identity, so you couldn't find me from my emails. The same man confirmed you were still seeing that man so I kept sending emails. I don't regret what I've done." Mary-Jane tilted her chin up and crossed her arms in a manner that sent my temper through the roof.

"Ok, this is what we're going to do." I begin, "You will not be attending our wedding. You are going disappear from my life and I never want to see your face again."

"Cam will not allow that. I will bring the topic at hand and you wouldn't want me to bring up our little secret would you?" she smiled deviously and I rose from the couch, utterly amused.

"Mary, you're adorable. You told me you didn't regret anything you've done, am I correct?"

"You would be, yes."
