A.N. I'll be switching to Present tense, it's easier for me with this story :)

"Alexandra, have you got my story?" Amy asks walking into the room and flipping through paper files. I look up from my laptop and watch in fear as Amy's eyes cut into mine with a murderous look. I open my mouth to create a lie when she put her hands up and sighs in exasperation,

"I know you didn't get it, Geoff's secretary is calling to tell you Mr. Waters is ready to answer the questions you had yesterday before you 'left abruptly'"

"I was asking the questions when my phone rang--"

"Save it. We'll talk about this later, just answer your phone."

Reluctantly, I pick up my phone and chirp, "Hello, Alexandra Bolton of Center City News."

"Alexandra," a deep voice says over the other line, "It's Keith, the company is aware of your visit yesterday and the manager requires me to finish the interview with you." From the corner of my eye I see Amy making frantic hand movements. I look to her direction and see her pointing to the speaker button. I press down on it and answer Keith,

"Er--yeah, I'm sorry about yesterday, it was an...eventful day." I couldn't help but look at my engagement ring as I say this.

"Right, so shall we get to the interview?"

"Yes," I look down at Amy's revised list. In the taxi to Elaine's house yesterday I rewrote all Amy's questions and made some edits of my own, "Sources say that Geoff Corporation purposely opened its new market to profit off innocent people's money. What do you say about this?" Amy gave me a thumbs up.

"Geoff Corporations prides ourselves within our customers and I assure you, we would never rip off money from them."

Amy starts mouthing something to me and I inwardly groan. Amy's worse at mouthing words than she is at cursive, I strain to make out what she's saying.

Slip...

Ship...

"Shit!"

"Excuse me?" Keith says. I can just see him leaning back in his chair and frowning.

"You heard me---that's a load of shit. If your compant really valued them, why would they open a market during bad economic times and persuade people to join them. Those people lost thousands, while Geoff is profiting. Isn't that suspicious?"

The other line was quiet before a while before I hear a long sigh, "How about we finish the interview in person. How about over coffee?"

I look at Amy and she's nodding her head enthusiastically. I shake my head in horror, Amy gives me a look and I press the phone against my ear, "Hold, please. I'll look at my schedule."

I put the phone on mute and turn to glare at Amy, "I'm not going."
