Chapter 9
Anastasia’s POV
“Ana! Ana, baby, please wake up!” someone shouted.
I went to speak but that’s when I heard it, thee beeping of a heart monitor…
My eyes shot open and I sat straight up. It’s very possible that I saw stars floating around my head because I became very dizzy. Everything was blurry and I could see a figure hovering next to the bed.
“Ana! Are you awake? What’s wrong? Baby, are you okay!?” they were shouting at me.
Everything wasn’t blurry anymore, and I could see the figure, it was Mason. I screamed for help and jumped back, as he tried to grab my hand.
“Get away from me! How dare you try and touch me after what you did! Someone help me!” I screamed, hoping someone would come to my rescue.
“Daddy?” I heard a little voice ask, and then gasp.
“Mommy?” I heard the same voice ask.
I turned my head to see a little girl standing in the doorway. She was beautiful. She had long dark brown, almost black, hair with Mason’s electrifying green eyes. She had to be no more than two or three. She was wearing a pale blue dress with only one shoe on her foot, the other she was holding in her hand. She looked at me then started smiling.
“Jay! Mommy!” she called to someone.
A boy with black hair, as tall as Mason, walked into the room. He picked up the little girl and looked at me with shock. He had light blue eyes and short, spiked-up black hair. He looked exactly like Mason, but with shorter hair.
“Mom,” he whispered
“Mom?” I heard myself ask. “I’m not a mother. I’m not old enough to be a mother…”
“Yes, you are, Ana,” Mason said.
“Stop lying. Tell me why you brought me to the forest and raised your hand to me. Then tell me why you are trying to deceive me!” I yelled, practically screamed, at him.
“I would NEVER hurt you! I am not deceiving you! These are our children! Do you remember them? Do you remember Jacob or Sabrina?” he questioned me, while he pulled on his hair, trying to stop tears from forming in his eyes.
“I’m sorry, Mason, but I don’t have kids,” I said.
“Try to remember! Please think about them! Look! Look in the photos, look at your necklace! Please remember!” Mason pleaded, tears were now threating to fall down his face.
“I’m sorry I-“
“Try, please, try.”
