Chapter 8
Unknown POV
“I think it’s time to let them go into the real world don’t you think honey?” my mate said.
“Not yet... Maybe tomorrow,” I said.
“Ahhh…. I see. Let her see the new side of her mate, then bring them back to reality,” she said.
“Smart girl… You know my ways so well. Once she leaves her mate, she can come here and she can be our sons chosen mate. It shall be the perfect plan!” I said, chuckling.

Anastasia’s POV
After my talk with my sister, Mason left for a while. He then came back and asked if he could speak to me privately.
“So…. What did you want to talk to me about?” I asked him, impatiently.
“I don’t want to tell you yet, we aren’t where I want to talk,” he replied.
He left me confused. Why couldn’t we talk in the car? No one was around us and it wasn’t like the car had bugs in it that let everyone hear us. I put the music on and started humming along to it. I looked out the window to see more and more trees.
Soon the trees started to faded and I saw a warehouse. I looked over to Mason and gave him a confused look. He just gave me a smirk….. I’ve never seen him smirk at me like this. It gave him an evil glint in his eye—one that I didn’t like whatsoever.
We got out and he led us into the warehouse. I expected him to have made a beautiful little date for us, but no it wasn’t. It was dark and full of blood—fresh blood. I looked over to Mason, scared of what we were doing here.
He still had that smirk on his face and that evil glint in his eyes… I was frightened of what was going to happen next…..
He stepped away from me and began to walk in circles around me.
“So, Anastasia,” he began.
The way he said my name, made me want to throw up, this wasn’t good.
“What did you want to talk about Mason? Can you please stop walking around me, your freaking me out,” I said.
He chuckled, an evil chuckle. “Anastasia…. Poor little Anastasia… You never understood anything.”
I was starting to get scared now. He had stopped pacing, in front of me. He had started to take large, slow steps towards me. I kept backing up, further and further until my back was pressed flat against the wet wall.
“W-W-What the hell are you talking about Mason!?” I yelled at him.
The next thing I saw was a hand coming towards my face. I was shocked, scared, angry and heartbroken. My face stung from where his hand collided with my face, and my mouth was full of blood from me biting down on my tongue.
I turned towards Mason who was—full out—smiling.
How dare he?! I thought.
“How dare you?! How could you hit me, Mason?! What the fuck is wrong with you!?” I screamed at him.
His hand collided with my face, once again.
“How dare I?! How dare I?! Anastasia… how dare you curse and raise your voice to me,” He said, as he grabbed a fistful of my hair, “I don’t like the way you’ve been treating me for a while now. I think it’s time I show you how I feel about you and your fucking family!”
He threw me into a bunch of crates and started stalking towards me. I felt as if my lungs had popped from the force of his throw.
“Who…are…you?” I breathed out.
“Not the person you think I am,” he said stalking towards me.
He picked me up by my shirt collar and went to throw me but I kicked him, in a place that I know is every man’s weakness. He let go of my collar and bent over. I kicked his face and he went flying on his back.
I ran out of the warehouse, not looking back. I kept on running until I saw a town.
“Help! Someone help me!” I screamed out.
Then, I realized no one was walking down the streets. Where the hell am I?
I kept on running. I didn’t even question why the town was empty. I heard a growl and heard heavy male footsteps. I turned my head slightly to see Mason running behind me—he was catching up fast.
I pushed myself further and ran faster. I looked in front of me to see a sign that said I was leaving the town. I looked past the sign to see nothing.
What the hell?
I felt an arm snake around my waist and pull me back, I started screaming and throwing my arms and legs around rapidly.
“Shut up, Anastasia!” they said.
I turned my head to see that it wasn’t Mason… It was Alexander. I turned my whole body and hugged him. I felt my cheeks become wet from the tears that were clouding my vision.
“What happened!?” he asked.
“Mason, happened. He took me to a warehouse and beat me up a little bit, but I got away from him and I ran though this town and he was following me and-“
“Anastasia… come out, come out wherever you are!” Mason shouted angrily.
“Look, Anastasia, weird things have been happening, this black place is some type of portal. Things go in and out of it. Everyone-including Angel- left through it. Mason was supposed to bring you here, but I guess he thought we would leave you two alone. I will kill him, I promise you but now we have to go through here, okay?” Alexander rushed out.
“Okay, where does it lead to?” I asked.
“I guess we’ll find out together,” Alexander said.
We grabbed each other’s hand and started running towards the portal. We jumped through it and everything went black….
