They had finally reached the gates of the scavenger den. The climb down the mountain had been treacherous, and they almost lost Avalanche. Again. That stupid IceWing! At least they still had their powers. As they were halted by the gate guards, he saw a sign reading: Welcome to Jasper! We hope you enjoy your stay! The name of the den seemed familiar. Jasper. Where had he heard it? Of course! That was where his pet scavenger, Torivor came from! Stormbringer hadn't thought about how Torivor was doing, and now felt bad for leaving him without any word. Knowing Torivor though, he probably would've invented a plan to be re-united with Stormbringer. As the group of dragongers (That was his new name for the scavengers/dragons) walked through the gates, they were greeted by an strong looking scavenger holding a hammer. "WEAPONS! ARMOUR! MAGICAL ARTIFACTS! ALL YOUR DRAGON COMBATING NEEDS!!" the scavenger yelled. The last phrase caught the whole group's attention. "Dragon combating??" The group of dragongers wafted towards the scavenger, and they followed him to a building that looked to Stormbringer like a giant oven. When he looked closer, he saw what looked to him as shiny, straight dragon claws. "What are these?" He asked the scavenger. "Oh, ma lad! You've never seen a sword before? Well, it's something that the great warriors used to use when they fought the lightning drakes of the north!" came the scavenger's answer. Lightning drakes of the north. Those words sent shivers down Stormbringer's spine. Those words were meant to represent him and his tribe. The ThunderWings had a long history of attacking scavenger dens. Torivor and Yump were two orphans of a fight. "We will take some the swords." Stormbringer told the scavenger. That will be 142 bronze spheres. "BRONZE SPHERES???? WHAT?" erupted Stormbringer's mind. Was this what the scavengers used to trade? On the outside however, "I don't have anything to pay you with. But would you take something else?" "Hrmm....." The scavenger answered. "How about that amethyst necklace?" The scavenger proposed, pointing at Seastar's neck. "THS? THIS IS MY MOTHER'S!!! NO!!" screamed Seastar. "Too late!" Stormbringer cried, and snatched the necklace out of Seastar's hands. He put the necklace in the scavenger's cupped paws. "Here you go! Anything else?" The scavenger said while he pulled 12 swords out of a tall bucket of water, and handed to them to the dragongers. "I'll have that thing over there please." Huntinglily said, and pointed to a stick thingy with a string across it that was perched on it's side with what looked to be a bag of more sticks, but shorter, with feathers all over them. "Why would you want that? It looks useless!" Stormbringer asked. "The bow? You can have it for free. Take it!" Said the scavenger. From the back of the group, Stormbringer heard Sycamore grumble "Why do we need these? I fine with my spear." Stormbringer kicked him in the stomach. "SHUSH!" He said.
