It's already two in the morning. I'd been tossing myself back and forth in my bed. Even though I told Aaron not to come any closer to me, I still wanted to talk to him so he could clear everything. But wedidn't got the chance to talk yesterday. I tried approaching him but then he ignored me. Huh, and he even had the right to ignore when it should had been me doing that.
I received two new poems yesterday that made everything more confusing. Aaron was not M. I wondered why would he even admit that even though it's not him.
"Ugh!" I grunted, getting up in a sitting position. "Damn it." Okay. I'd never swear in my entire life. But this was too much for me to take. It wouldn't even make me fall asleep. Why there's so many mystery going on with my life right now?
Before, I thought liking someone was as easy as one two three. But no! It's much more complicated than that. Imagine yourself solving a very difficult algebraic equation or better yet trying to solve and simplify a chemistry equation. Complicated, right?
I stood up and went over to my window. Exactly the moment I opened it, a stone had hit my forehead. "Ow!" I grumbled in pain.
"Sorry," I heard a whisper-yell down. I popped out my head and saw that Aaron was now climbing up in my room. He gotta stop doing that or he might fall... or worse! My dad might see him! "Does it hurt?" he asked once he was in the veranda.
"What do you think?" I snapped. "What are you doing here again... liar," I said, rolling my eyes. I went over to my bed, ignored the thumping on my forehead and glared at the guy who was sitting beside me. Aaron's acting like nothing happened and it's making me mad.
"Liar?" he queried, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Yes, you're a liar, Aaron. How could you do that? Saying that you're M?" I asked in disbelief and in... pain? Why was I getting hurt?
"What?" he asked back, a surprise tone filling his voice. "I...I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh, don't lie anymore. I received two notes from him yesterday."
"Carter, there's something you have to know."
That made me swallowed hard. I had been waiting for this moment since yesterday. I wouldn't deny that I wanted to hear what that thing he wanted to say to me. I wanted to know everything.
"Tell me," I demanded.
He chuckled. "But first..." he paused. He got something on his back pocket before handing it out to me.
A paper.
Oh, no more mystery poems!
I glared at him. "What this is about?"
"See for yourself."
I opened the paper and... was I not surprise. A poem was written in it.
Carter,
Sweet roses,
That afternoon
Your smile
