Chapter 6

Clary's POV

my palms are sweaty and i feel drained.using what little power i have to cover up my scent is hard enough but throw in the boy from my nightmares and then him saying that danger is close and the time is near in latin well that was the last straw.Harry was his name.he was different than the rest of the boys.His presence was filled with anger, sadness, confusion,and he had a dangerous vibe coming from him.He had gotten up and gone outside a few minutes ago after he spoke latin.its weird though he seemed to have no memory of saying the words."so then Louis got it in his head to draw a batman sign on my chest"i heard liam say.i was there but then again i wasnt.

as if i were watching from a distance.'Clary so nice to see you again.I suppose you came back to Festus to join me'.Its him.he is close.i feel it.He is speaking to me through my mind.i turn and look around.the restruant was filled with people so i couldnt see him but i felt him.'i see i have alot to teach you.it is very dangerous playing with vampire hunter sweetheart.but thats okay i will take care of them for you so you dont have anything to fear'.the voice went on.i noticed the boys were looking at each other.they seemed to be having a silent conversation.Zayn went stiff next to me.He knows Adam is here.I looke up towards the front of the restruant and saw Harry coming in.

his face was dark and dangerous.for a moment his gaze met mine then i looked away.then i spotted him.in the shadows smiling a vicous cold smile.his red eyes looking amused.then he disapeared.he disapeared within the darkness.he became the shadows.'your times allmost up sweetheart.i will be waiting for you here.watching.i will protect you and keep you safe.then when the time comes you will be my queen ruling in the darkness with me.goodbye clary'he said to me.but this time he whispered it in my ear.i felt the coldness of him breathing down my neck.his breath tickling my ear as he spoke.i gasped.Zayn looked at me with concern.Kendall looked a bit panicky."Clary your eyes"she whispered to me.dammit.i blinked trying to calm my heart down.

I felt the color going back to normal."umm im sorry for inturrupting this beautiful night but we have a emergancy"Harry said.He stood at liams side."what? what happened"Vanessa asked looking at Louis.Louis whispered somthing in her ear and she froze.he was telling her that Adam was here and he is still close by.she knows about the boys being vampire hunters."okay be careful"she whispered back to him.i noticed all the guys were saying something to the girls.me and kendall and zayn were the only ones still seated at the table."Adam was here.he left but he is still close.we are going out to see where he is"Zayn said to me and kendall."i will be there too.but i will stay blended in the shadows"i said to him."no dont go.they will scense you too. and go after you"zayn said.then to kendall he said."make sure she doesnt go anywhere".then with that he stood and left out the door with the rest of the guys."so what was that all about"kendall asked innocently to Brook.

"Harry got a call from there boss.it was important so they had to leave now"she said calmly.i caught Kelly looking at me.her eyes filled with hurt and anger.i realized that Harry had ignored her and he was the first to go back outside.i felt a bit of pity for her.but when i met her gaze she looked away."well how about we all order ourselfs some more drinks"Vanessa said noticing the awkward silence."sure me an kendall will go get them"i said taking up the offer.kendall looked at me with big eyes then she realized what i was doing and went along with it.after we knew what everybody wante we headed towards the bar."adam was in here.he whispered in my ear and talked to me in my head.he is waiting for me and he will kill anything that gets in his way"i said to her as we shoved through the mass of bodies.before Kendall could andwer her eyes went wide and she turned around.a guy behind her stood smiling at her.she slapped him.

then turned back to me."some guys need to watch where there hands go"she said.then we went back to shoving past people."well i promised Zayn that i will watch you.you are not going anywhere"she said.but as she turned to give me a look she realized i wasnt there.i had slipped away from her and towards the restrooms when she was talking.i felt a bit bad about ditching her like that but i had to help the guys.even if Zayn says they wont need it.i hurried down the hallway and towards the back exit.before i slipped out the door i saw her.A girl watching me.her gaze narrowed and she smiled a cat like smile when i met her hazleish gaze.her eyes reminded me of a tiger waiting for it prey to run.i shrugged the thought away.i opened the door and i was in a ally."i was wonering when you woul come out"he said.i froze.my heart started beating fast again.i looked at him.he smiled a cold smile.He was in full form.not blended in with shadows or hidden and talking to me in my mind."Adam what a suprise. i wasnt expecting you to be here.It seems less your taste to talk with girls.

i figured it would be in a fancy restruant or a limo or something better than a dirty greesy ally.but then again it fits the situation perfectly"i said cooly.i was suprised by how under control i was."yes it does doesnt it.its also a bit more private"he said.then in a blur he was in front of me.his face so close that i could possibly kiss him.not that i was thinking of that.his red eyes looked down at me.i stared at his chest.He looked like a guy who excercised but only a little.just enough to have a bit of muscle and possibly a 6 pack but he wasnt buff.i knew he was alot stronger than he looked though.he had umhumanly strength."well you sure know how to respect a girls space"i said backing a few steps away and backed into the wall."but you are not a normal girl.you are special.you diserve better treatment"he said."better treatment sounds good.but in your definition of better treatment means 'Clary let the darkness take over.come rule by my side so we can slaughter all man kind and be feared upon'.No im fine.i like people to respect me not fear me"i said."oh but you can get all the respect you want from me.all you dreams, pleasures, needs you can have them all"he said.

"if you are trying to tempt me its not working.i have no pleasures or needs.well i have one thing in mind but you wouldnt aprove"i said smiling like a child when they knew they did something bad and that they wouldnt get in alot of trouble.Adam smiled and came closer.once again he was close enough to where i could feel his breath on my head."anything sweetheart"he said then traced my jawline and lifted my chin so i coul look in his eyes.i smiled."to kill you"i said smiling bigger.he frowned."im afriad i cannot let that happen.but i know what you might enjoy"he said.this time he smiled like a child.i stayed quiet looking up at him."to watch those vampire hunters die painfully an slowly.but i think one of them is worth keeping as a pet."he said.i froze.he frowned once again."i scence that you dont like that idea.well here is a little compromise.join me and i wont lay a finger on the little hairs on there chiny chin chins but if you disagree then i will blow there houses down one by one letting them know im coming"he said.i gulped.

"you are a smart girl.but also very blind.you killed your family.you hands ripped your parents throats out.you held the knife that slit you brothers wrist and ankles.you are the monster"he said."i may be a monster but i am not evil.i refused to drink my family's blood even though i was thirsty and practically bathing in it.i turned my back then.and im turning it now.i will never let the darkness take over.i would rather die"i said."bad choice of words babe"he said.he smiled then i noticed that his fangs ha come down.
