Chapter 13

Clary's POV: "1...2...3"louis counted."food"Zayn said."food"kendall said."food"niall said."food"louis said."food"brook said."food"Jade and Vanessa called from the kitchen.that left liam.we looked at liam.i held my breath."come on have a little faith liam"Louis said.liam took a deep breath."food"he said finally.we cheered.Zayn gave me a bear hug.i smiled.i just got accepted by vampire hunters."now serve us some FOOOOOD"niall yelled and ran to the kitchen.

i followed the group head into the kitchen.bacon, eggs, and toast.alot of it. everybody seated with food on their plates except me.I took a cup of orange juice and leaned against the wall.Zayn reached his hand to take a peice of bacon from Nialls plate but Niall snapped his teeth at zayns hand.Zayn quickly pulled his hand back to safety."Liam we are going to the store in a minute do you need anything for the cook out"Jade said as she sat next to niall and easily took a peice of bacon while niall continued eating."umm no i think we have it all"liam said.a shirtless tattooed harry walked into the kitchen at that moment.His green eyes looked at me with a look that made my stomache do cart wheels.

"i heard food"he said.he served himself and sat on the counter.he sat looking at me as he ate."welcome to the family Clary"he said to me with a crooked mischevious smile.i nodded and looked at Zayn instead of harrys gaze."Harry where is Kelly?"Brook asked."umm we had a argument last night"Harry said looking down his eyebrows furrowed."you guys will work it out, you all ways do"Vanessa said."well not this time.things are different.she need someone who can give her all his ours and im not the right guy for her"Harry said."what can possibly be keeping you away from Kelly? you love her"Louis said."things Louis, things.I just cant be with her"he said then got up and walked to his room.the guys all looked at each other with alarm and i watched as Harry walked down the hall and into his room.i scensed his mood.but it seemed clouded.blocked in a way.

"sorry Harry isnt a morning person...or a people person anymore.he used to be alot nicer and less moodier before we became hunters"Liam siad to us."Do you and Kendall want to come to the store with us"Jade asked me as the girls got ready to leave to the store."umm no we are fine"Kendall said.i agreed.I didnt want to bring any attention to the girls and ruin any chance of making friends in this town."k just call if you need anything"vanessa said as she exchanged numbers with Kendall.when the numbers where saved the girls left.

"come on Clary lets go get you some shorts"Kendall said.i followed her through the front door then across the lawn to her house."your house hasnt changed much since i last saw it"i said as we walked into her house."yea mom likes to keep things the same alot"she said as we headed up the stairs.we reached her room."you sure like paranormal stuff and horses"i said.her walls had posters of horses and a horse blanket was on her bed.there was shelfs full of scary movies and books about werewolves, ghost,demons, witches, and vampires.

"yea sorry for the mess.i am usually on my bed but apparently i get the whole room messy just by sitting in one spot"Kendall said as she made her way her closet.after a few minutes she came out with shorts and bikinis.she thrust a pile of clothes in one of her hands at me."we should be the same size"she said.she went back into the closet and dressed.I changed into only the shorts.Kendall came back out in her swim wear."what? you dont want to wear a bathing suit?"she asked.

"i am fine with shorts and my shirt"i simply said."a vampire who is unconfident with her body"kendall teased."i am confident.i just dont like people staring at my bare body"i said."why? they always stare at you anyways"she said."ugh fine if i change into the dam bathing suit will you stop asking questions and dont stare"i said."i will try not to ask anymore questions"she said.

as kendall bent to slip on her shoes i changed in a whip like speed.when Kendall picked up her head her eyes were wide and staring at one spot."what happened"she asked."i told you not to ask or stare"i muttered."sorry but how can you have a scar.Vampires dont scar"Kendall said.her eyes looked at the scar the streched down my whole side."werewolves are real and their claws are a vampires worst nightmare"i said.i had once chose a fight with a werewolf.it didnt end well for me.turns out werewolve claws leave permanent damage on vampire skin."and you have tattoos?! well its my first time seeing you without a jacket its not my fault"Kendall said.

I had about 6 tattoos.4 on my arms and 2 on my side and back."yup.well im dressed now can we go please"i said.i slipped the shorts on and my shirt then we headed back to the house.the girls had gotten back and were being thrown into the pool by the guys."watch out"Jade yelled.a waterballooon was launched at me but i dogded and it hit Kendall who was standing behind me.she let out a shreik as Liam picked her up from behind and threr her into the pool.as i was laughing and off gaurd Zayn came out of no where and we both fell into the pool.thats how most of evening was.swimming, having fun, and water fights.

LATER ON

"that was really fun"Brook said.we were sitting around a campfire now and the sun was setting."yea.Clary i thought you were a vampire.you should have been able to block all the balloons that were thrown at you"Louis said."well it would have been easy if only 2 people were throwing them instead everybody was"i said.i had been ambushed by the whole group when i was getting a coke from the ice chest.before anybody could answer we heard a car pull up and car doors.then Harry and a girl were coming towards us.Harry had been gone all day and now he was back.

"Hey everybody this is Ella"he said introducing the short blonde girl who waved at us.I narrowed my eyes.she is familiar.then it clicked.the girl from the restruant/bar who had watched me as i went out the back door and was tooken by Adam."Ella this is Liam and his girlfriend Brook.Thats Niall and Jade over there.Louis and Vanessa.and thats Zayn and his friend Clary and her friend Kendall"Harry said.when he got to Zayn and me his voice had a bit of boredom to it."Hello Ella nice to meet you"Brook said."its nice meeting you too"she said.ellas gaze kept flickering to me then to Harry."umm im going to go get a coke anybody want one"I said standing.Ella was making me feel like a lab rat."can you get one for me love"Niall said to me."sure that all"i said.

"me too"Kendall said.I nodded and went inside into the kitchen.I opened the frigde and grabbed 3 sodas.as i closed the fridge door i jumped and almost dropped a can except a hand reached out and caught it before it fell."sorry if i scared you "Harry said."well i wouldnt have been scared if you werent right behind me"i muttered.I reached for the can and my hand brushed harrys.he grabbed my wrist and pulled me close to him.i could have easily broke his wrist just by twisting mine or i could have shoved him off but i didnt.i couldnt.his gaze froze me.his eyes seemed to have softened and hardened at the same time."you are so pretty Clary.you could do better than Zayn"he whispered to me."let go of me"i said weekly.

"me and you both know you could just shove me away easily.but you wont.cuase you like me"he said."what"i said shocked.where did that come from? "i know you do.me and you are meant for each other.if we werent then it would have been Zayn to share that dream with you.It would have been Zayn who woke as a vampire.You would be crying over Zayns body.but no.it was me instead"Harry said to me.i couldnt speak.i just gulped."dont be scared of me.i wont harm you.but i will harm anybody who hurts you.you have my word on that"he said."im not scared now let go.i am with Zayn not you.i dont like you and i never will"i said harshly.i shoved Harry away.he hit the counter hard.but he didnt seem to notice that.

"fine.but i dont get why you have to hide what you really feel.me and you.we are the same.we have gone through the same stuff.in time i guess you will realize the truth"he said then walked back outside.I took a deep breath.what was all that? I walked back outside.Harry was nuzzling Ellas neck as i walked past them towards Zayn.His eyes flicked up to me and winked.i gave Niall and Kendall there drinks.and sat next to Zayn staring into the fire.what scared me the most was that I almost wanted to beleive Harry.i want to kiss him.
